J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. What happens when you try to return something past the 30 (now 60) day window? I have a package that's been stuck in my office since end of February. Assuming store credit but do they ever not take something back? Like if it's 6 months old or something?

    1. I was told, via instagram, that when stores open, J. Crew will take back anything since the pandemic.

    2. I saw the same on Insta today, anything from March 1st on.

  2. And for a review. I bought the short sleeve popover in linen (#L4998) which I thought would be a slam dunk but it's really big and really sheer. I'm usually XS in those popovers (I bought a 2 in the long sleeve button down linen shirt but am a 4 in liberty shirts) but it is really big. And the white shows everything. I'd really like to try it in another color and an XXS because I can see myself wearing it all summer... But now that's makes a few shirts I've sized down that much. It's weird.

  3. FYI. I mailed four returns in a box via UPS on April 23. It was delivered April 24, and today 3 of 4 returns were processed.

    1. My return (a wrong item) was shipped on April 20th and delivered on 22nd. They didn't process it, so I chatted online yesterday and they refunded me.

    2. @eeps, appears they’re processing the returns more quickly now. I’ve had the same experience fortunately.

    3. Oddly enough, my order from April 24 is still in the Placed stage. I wonder if they're diverting the workforce to getting the returns back on track before they tackle new orders so they know what inventory they really have.

    4. My recent experience was, the more items an order had, the slower it was shipped.

    5. You just reminded me to check mine - I sent two items back on 4/24 and it was received 4/25 and I have yet to receive a refund. I also just received an email yesterday that my order from 4/24 shipped.

  4. Just received the cashmere lobster sweater. It’s adorable and fit is TTS. Pattern is only on the front and the lobsters are well placed. Pairs well with the tie waisted seaside pants in Papaya if you can get a pair that fits. They’re running really big. Pretty color.

    1. Hee hee I hadn't thought about poorly placed lobsters until you said that.

    2. Brava you got it! Better there than in the pot for everyone else:)
