Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I hope to visit to 1. return the Leopard faux fur coat AD133. Even though I found a great price (85) that does not make the sleeves long enough even in one size up (M). If the fit was perfect I'd have had a harder decision.

    2. Oogle new items. I want to get a look at the brown/gold striped Tippi.

I received an order from the last big promotion that included the tissue tneck in black/ivory floral AC646 and Pointelle cotton cropped sweater AB863 in dark moss. The sweater is a golden brown color, perfect for Fall and I love the way it feels. It's definitely oversized, as the small is very roomy on me. The arms are quite wide, and it is cropped. So not for everyone, but I like it with high waisted pants and will be keeping. The tissue t run a bit smaller than other tissue t's I have, so I've called and ordered a M as well. It is a beautiful pattern, so I'm glad I was able to size up. I treat these tops like lingerie as they are delicate.

  2. i ordered the collection "silk" tie neck blouse. silk is in quotes because its not silk and its h and m level quality. not to mention cropped. not j crew factory quality much less collection!

    1. Oh wow I had that in my cart. Removing it now.

    2. It says silk charmeuse, which is usually a top level silk. It's a satin weave - meaning more warp threads than weft so the front is shiny and the back is dull.

    3. But if swp said it’s not silk, I was curious what is it actually. Do you have the top PBanos?

    4. Nope, but I'd be surprised that J Crew would sell a silk Collection top that was not made out of silk. Maybe the different weave of the charmeuse threw Swp off?

    5. A couple of years ago J.Crew listed a 45% wool/55% poly blend on the website as "wool," so who knows . . .

    6. I returned a pleather belt that was listed as "skinny leather belt". I was not amused.

  3. Visited my shop (Copley in Boston) this week to check out the new wool pencil skirts but they didn't have them :( Intrigued by the new honey color - has any one seen it IRL? Was hoping for orange. Also, how's the quality? My double serge wool skirts from the 2011-2013 era still look brand new. I'm thinking to get them lengthened - has anyone every tried that?

  4. What's going on with the sizing for tops? With going to alpha sizing rather than numerical and rarely having petites/tall, the number of available sizes is drastically reduced.

    1. That’s a cost cutting measure. They can make fewer per style.
