Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. The combination of free shipping (Presidents Day in US and Family Day in many Canadian provinces) plus pop backs plus promo code (albeit only 30% off) proved too powerful for me today ....but how is a person to say no to a Tippi turtleneck at $35 Cdn (reg $118) or a round cut glass necklace at $28 Cdn (reg $115). Really, I should just not look because there is always something lovely and cheap that I don't need or have room for. I know the regular prices are inflated, but my unofficial motto is "No cheap Tippi left behind..."

    1. Nice score! I held off buying today as I have two shipments arriving this afternoon - one of which includes a navy Tippi turtleneck which I scored last week for $34.99 as well!

    2. "No cheap Tippi left behind..." Hahaha, I love it and I know exactly what you mean!! I didn't do it this year, but last year I bought a bunch of half price Tippis because, how can you not? I, too, have to stay out of stores entirely or out of the Sale section online if I want to avoid shopping because it's easy enough to find something. Glad you got such good deals! Happy shopping everyone!

  2. With free shipping being offered today, I will post a couple of reviews from my last 30% off order. I will start with the few that didn’t work:
    - The Liberty Edenham floral was love at first sight so I ordered the off-the shoulder top (even if I don’t do off-the shoulder) and the perfect shirt. Both are going back. The off-the shoulder with the voluminous sleeves made me look wide while the twee print did not work with the perfect shirt style. I thought the print would have worked better with a summery simple style like the cotton swing cami of last summer.
    - I love everything chambray so I ordered the long-sleeve chambray shirtdress in my usual Small. It was OK but I didn’t like the buttons all the way through the front. I need to wear a cami since the gap between the buttons opens up when I sit. This would have been perfect if it came as a popover dress style.

    I’m keeping the following:
    - Pleated ruffled top in windowpane – This is a nice addition to my tops. It’s a bit different and I love the slightly textured cotton fabric. I can wear this now with a cardigan and without in the summer. I had to size up from my usual petite top size because my usual size just fits and I like a looser top in the summer.
    - Cropped ruffle chino pants – I really liked the fit and I ordered my usual petite pants sizing P8. It’s something different to add to my wardrobe. At first I was just keeping the chambray but now I’m keeping the british khaki as well. It’s the closest to my beloved CafĂ© Capri that I could find right now in their offerings.
    - Perfect shirt in Liberty Kayoko print – I bought this just to try since I liked the Edenham print better. Surprisingly, I liked this more and will prove more versatile with a lot of navy and grey in my wardrobe.
    - Italian cashmere easy V-neck sweater – I bought this with my winter rewards because I really like the bright river color. It fits loose from my usual Small but I like that it is not fitting. Cashmere is soft and the style is very easy to wear at work and outside of work.
    - Italian cashmere thin striped sweater – I caught this on popback because of the stripes and colors are different from what I have. Beware the background is not as white as on the website, it was more cream. I didn’t mind but I had to size up to Medium from my usual Small.
    - Garment Dyed Utility Belted Dress – I bought this from Nordstrom and is not yet in Jcrew’s website. I like that it comes in Petite and I ordered my usual 6P dress size. Love the pockets, the belted trench style without the sleeves. If there is one thing that could pose a problem is the neckline which sort of just flaps around when unbuttoned. I plan to wear it buttoned though and in colder weather works with my striped beige long sleeves turtleneck T-shirt.

If you can also catch the Ribbed Turtleneck in Italian Cashmere on popback, I can’t recommend it enough. I bought this early last month when they offered 50% finals sale and bought 4 colors. Have been wearing these constantly this winter. I bought my usual Small which fits slightly loose. The cashmere knit is thick yet soft and warm and unlikely to pill through several wearings. Classic Jcrew style.

    1. @Marie, really enjoyed these helpful reviews! I'm currently on a shopping ban so these were fun to read. Good to know about those cashmere turtlenecks, they sound wonderful. I'm also interested in that JC Utility Dress via Nordstrom so happy to hear that it has potential. Someone was just asking about the ruffle chinos so good to know they are TTS.

    2. I'm sorry to hear you didn't line the edenham perfect shirt. The print is so lovely, but I was worried about it being a bit dizzying of a pattern, if that makes since. I ordered it with my rewards last week and now that it's on its way to me, I am also afraid I may have purchased the wrong size (in addition to my fear of the print). Gah! The bee perfect shirt was a bit tight in the bust for me in my normal perfect shirt size (which is already a size up from my normal size) so I sized up for the embroidered lace perfect shirt, which proved to be waaaaay too large. I have a feeling the same will happen with the edenham. *sigh*

    3. Update: the fit on the edenham perfect shirt was wonderful! I think if I sized down it would fit a little better in some spots, but ultimately be too tight in the bust. I am very happy with the shirt! I wore it today on my IG.

  3. Has anyone tried the AMO jeans? I've noticed them on and off and I'm currently in a "I hate every pair of jeans in my closet" phase and since they're not final sale and both styles are available in my size (well, one is a size up which may work), I decided to give them a shot.

  4. Cropped Trench Jacket just arrived and wow is it nice. Mentioning it now since it's on sale with WEEKEND. The buttons will likely be replaced but the jacket is wonderful otherwise.

    1. for sure white buttons...gotta go !

    2. Exactly. I have no idea why they put those buttons on it. It is so nice otherwise that it's definitely a keeper. The navy peacoat with white buttons doesn't look particularly noteworthy (though I love navy) so I can't see bothering to replace the buttons on that one.

  5. I ordered the New Mexico tee with the free shipping, but didn't get in to the store.
