  4. I was able to check out with 20% off, and the promo worked for the new Liberty Lady jacket. Excited to try this--seems almost too good to be true.

    1. And I think they took off final sale? (Not counting the really old merchandise). Did a mock checkout of the collection mixed tweed blazer, it didn't have the final sale.

    2. I noticed only the extra 50% off items are final sale. In fact, a top I ordered a few weeks ago on final sale was too large and I noticed today it's not final sale. I contacted CS and they were nice enough to waive the final sale so I can return it.

  5. FYI: Rewards cards are available online! With the promo and free shipping, this would be a good day to use them :)

    1. how do you find your rewards card online? I see that I have one, mailed Jan 1, but how do I get the number?

    2. sign in to your account.
under your account where all the "my details" "email preferences" etc are... there's a "jcrew reward status"... click on that and your rewards info should come up

      Delete
    3. click on "My Account" and once you're in there, there's a dropdown on the left and the last option says "J. Crew Card Rewards Status". Click on that and voila! The number should be there.

  6. There were some OLD popbacks today. I scored the porcelain paisley skirt from 2012. I have it but am on the verge of needing a smaller size so I grabbed it. We'll see if it ships I figured if I need to offload one it will be an easy sale.

    1. Nice!!! I hope it ships for you, but you're right, it'll be easy to offload this or your older one, if need be. Woot woot!

    2. No way, that's crazy. I wonder what I missed 😃

    3. This is still one of my favorite skirts of all time. I miss the great prints they used to churn out on pencil skirts. I feel super put together in a cute print pencil and plain top.

    5. I have that skirt and need a bigger size in it. I keep my eye out but it's a rare popback! I never see my size.

    6. cate, I have a 14 and there was a 12 online today. I've only usually seen 0,2,4 on eBay and often priced crazy. I bought mine for a good price on eBay and couldn't check out fast enough with buy it now when I found it.

    7. Glad you found it Anne! I'll sell my size 6 eventually if I can find a size 8 or 10. It's been a long time since I've even looked for it, though. It's such a pretty print.

    8. Net a Porter Thomas Mason Sybil Dress popped back this am so finally able to order it. Was able to get CS to adjust to 50% off to match my store. Saw something similar @ NYFW for Spring 17, so hoping it works.

    9. Great score, Anne! Porcelain Paisley is one of the prettiest pencil skirt prints of all time.

    10. Wow, that is an amazing popback! I love my porcelain paisley skirt, haven't worn it in a couple of years sadly as I always worry my toddlers will ruin it but I'm committing to wearing it again this summer. It's too beautiful to sit in my closet. :)

  7. Great promo esp with the rewards now available! I snagged the Audrey snakeskin flats (been waiting for a moment like this!) and the Jackie Tie-Neck Cardigan in blue.

    1. I have been eyeing those flats too, but not sure if I should spend the extra money on the snake print Tieks (I have one pair and it's the only pair of shoes I wear).
I have been disappointed with the quality/comfortable of the jcrew flat lately.

Let us know how they fit/feel!

  10. I bit on this one. I ordered a pair of chino shorts since they're only $10...! I had to get a size down but reviews suggest that it could possibly work? If not, no biggie!

  11. Off topic but some new items are up on Nordstrom's site, including things that I haven't seen on J.Crew.com yet. Also, it's strange but Nordstrom has the stripe tunic in regular and petite and the petite is priced at $10 more= $88. They also have the Perfect Fit Tee with longer sleeves in the navy colorway and it is cheaper than at J.Crew

    1. Oooh I like the embellished jackie cardigan...I hope it comes in other colors though b/c I don't do orange/yellow.

      Delete
    2. I really like that one too! Not sure about yellow for myself either but it might be worth trying

      Delete
    3. For the older stuff I don't know how Nordstrom is supposed to compete against J.Crew's much bigger markdowns.

  12. I bit on this one too and had rewards and gift cards to use too. Got the featherweight cashmere fringe sweater set and the ornate flower top and matching skirt. Also the Foxley patch pocket denim skirt. Spring here I come!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Same here re) rewards and GC! I, too, just re-ordered the Foxley denim skirt (I ordered it a while ago but returned due to fit -- had to size up in the waist.) I also ordered the Ratti floral pencil skirt in Petite (the one w/ the big splash of color in the middle of it -- I'm drawn to the print, but we'll see where the splash falls on me.) Also ordered the button-down w/ eyelet trim on the collar & sleeve.

I also stopped by my store today and there was a lot of spring going on in there! I wasn't crazy about a few things that I was sure I'd love, such as the Ruffle trim bib-top and the Tippi with Mermaid print (that ruffle -- and I'm someone who is very fond of ruffles!)

      Delete
    2. I was debating whether to get 26 or 27 in the Foxley as I was worried about it being tight in the waist and ended up with the 27. Sounds like I made the right choice. Thanks!

      Delete
    3. @LilaS, I'd love to know what you think re) sizing. I'll usually take a 2P in pencil skirts, 25P in matchstick, two up in Toothpicks, so I think this skirt might run more like toothpicks in the waist. The 25 was pretty tight so I went up two sizes. This skirt also felt like it was more a-line than I expected, but perhaps that's because it was hugging the hell out of me and flaring for its life! 😂 Would love to know how it works out for you!

  13. If anyone needs any t-shirts the promo-priced perfect tees in scoopneck are coming up an extra 50% off without final sale--plus no free ship minimum so it's a good deal if you don't want to place a large order.

  14. Somebody asked last week how the fuchsia bloom in the Signet bag looks like IRL. I have a pic on my insta, for me it is bubblegum pink.
I also reviewed all new items, like the lady Jacket with Liberty ruffles,he bow sweater and more.

  15. Imagine listening to this at J.Crew headquarters:

"Sales have stalled what can we do?"
"Easy fix, slap on free shipping, that always works!"

Yeah, yeah, they hooked me again. While some of the previous sale prices were better, I occasionally even bit when I paid to ship. Today I scored a sweatshirt in the burgundy birdseye that should work well as a shirt too. It'll be on my instagram soon enough.

  16. Hi! This is off topic. I have given up on J Crew shoes that don't have leather soles. I just don't like that faux leather sole. It doesn't break in after time. My favorite JC shoes were the pumps or flats with leather soles that molded to my feet after a few wears. Soooo, I heard about M. Gemí and would like to try out their shoes. They are the Everlane of Italian shoes, I think. Have any of you tried M. Gemí? Thoughts? Thank you.

    1. I have not tried them. Sorry I can't be helpful there. I also stopped with J Crew shoes after discovering French Sole FSNY. They feel like heaven every time I put on a pair.

    2. Thank you, Sarah. I will check out French Sole, too.

    3. I have had great success with M. Gemi - I have several pairs and they fit and wear really well. If you use my link we'll both get a discount! http://share.mgemi.com/x/AFSqPu

  18. I didn't pull the trigger on a few things. I love the paper bag waist wool pants but hesitated. Also like the charcoal pajama pants Ema mentioned above. Truth is I don't need any of it. (But it would be nice to try them with free shipping and not final sale.)

    1. @Suz Has, I've been repeating "I don't need anything right now" all day and so far I've not bought anything even though free shipping is so tempting. :)

I still feel guilty that I broke my shopping ban in early January so I'm trying to be strong for at least another couple of weeks.

    2. @jan, remember we were talking about that pretty sleeveless shirt with the ruffle trim from the January 23rd rollout? I tried it on today in my regular Tippi size and the fit was ok, but it is somewhat relaxed in a way that I wasn't crazy about. Don't think sizing down would work because then it would be too tight in the armpits. I was sure this would be a love, but it wasn't. (So don't feel like you're missing anything! 😀)

    3. I know you were responding to Jan, TM93, but I saw that right away in my store and I like that one too, but it's poly. I know it will probably wash well so I'm conflicted, but I'd love to not buy so much of it.

      Delete
    4. @SuzHas, I was actually talking about Item G2328, Ruffle bib T-shirt, but I know what top you're talking about, item G1505, the Drapey ruffle-trim top, right? I like that one, too, but I've forbidden myself to buy anymore sleeveless tops like that since I bought similar blouses over the past two summers (also in poly). I know what you mean re) this fabric! Mixed feelings as well. Love the colors and details on this top.

      Delete
    5. @TM93, thank you for the update! I was thinking about that top with the free shipping yesterday. Glad I didn't order, I was worried when it mentioned loose fit and your review confirms fit issues. Too bad since it's quite cute. :)

  19. Nothing for me. My VPS already ordered a few things for me prior to this promo (discount and free shipping)... So I'm saving the rewards card for a little later.

  20. Well, I spoke to soon. The skinny silk scarf in Cabernet I wanted became available, plus the lady coat with braided trim (not final sale, although both were less $$ last week.) and a smaller pair of teddy pants for my daughter, because her first pair stretched out right away. I'm hoping the lady coat works. Since the short jacket versions don't. I ordered my usual coat size and it may be too big. (I tried the cropped jacket in a 00/0 and they fit, but I usually get a 4 in coats and lately, blazers too.)
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to use my rewards online, but I can always ask my VPS to apply them for me.

    1. Hope the Lady coat works out for you, Suz!

I couldn't work out the rewards online, too! Ordered the Lea flats in gold last night with the promo and couldn't figure out where to get that code. Even logged on to comety to see if a code is in there--nada. I guess I'll just have to wait the old fashion way-snail mail.

      Delete
    2. Last time it was much easier. I did the same, logged into my account. It shows it in a blue window but I couldn't find any other details.

      Delete
    3. @JSR and Suz Has, how frustrating!! I had to open two windows, both with the JC website, in order to access the code. (It was just easier that way.) I was able to find rewards listed under the Rewards status section, but I had to copy and paste + enter PIN. I agree that last time was easier -- just clicked a link & viola! Anywho, i'm sure VPS and Customer Service will be able to help.

JSR, i totally forgot about those pretty flats yesterday, can't wait to hear what you think!!
