  1. Love the long-time staff at my B&M - they're constantly pleasant and helpful.

Also love the Factory girls' golden elephant dress that I picked up for little_lining's holiday concert. She loves it, too!

  2. Love all the festive plaids J Crew has done throughout the years! Been wearing a different one each day since it is getting close to the holidays!!! Also love that the 2nd order I placed for the houndstooth Seavees after a cancellation have shipped.

  3. Received the black Lady jacket with gold buttons. Love it! Quality is good, especially with the promo going on. Make sure you email CS to apply the promo for regular size because it only applies to petite. That's an error on JCrew's system.

    1. I tried it on in store yesterday and was so tempted to get it. If I sized down to a 0 and it was less boxy on my torso and just fit my shoulders, so I think it runs a bit big, ultimately I decided the proportions weren't right for me. I wish they made a jacket in this Chanel-Inspired style between this and the longer lady day with braided trim.

    2. It would look awesome if it was a blazer length!

  4. Snagged the Avery suede heels in my size on pop back today! Excited to try these!! Filled my bag yesterday with lots of cardmember-savings items. Wasn't planning on it, but there were some things on sale I'd wanted to try and worried they'd be gone after Christmas. Right when I think I'm holding strong, they got me again!!

    2. Hi bee! It's highly likely that final sale will be back right before Christmas, so in my opinion, you made the right decision to fill your bag with the items you've been wanting to try. :)

    3. Agreed! Me too!
We're the Avery heels an 8.5? I returned them yesterday if so! (And I'm not responsible for the scuffing!)

    4. Thanks for the reinforcement, Melissa! It was quite a few pair of pants, which often don't work for me in any JC size. So glad to try them on sale before FINAL sale hits! I will review once I try them all.
@SuzHas--The Averys were a 7.5. But I thank the person who sent them back. I love this style and had been waiting for a sale, but kept missing my size.
BTW--Anyone else get the invitation to fill out a JC survey and get a $20 gift card? I did, and I completed the survey. Should get my $20 in the next few weeks.

  5. I have to give some major love for the nordic parka (item F8255). I wore this in the ridiculously frigid Chicago temps this week and it kept me toasty warm the entire time. I know the online reviews seem to suggest that last year's version was better, but since I don't have experience with last year's, I can't really comment on that but I just know this coat is amazing.

Also, I have it in ivory and it is a very bright ivory, almost white. It is stunning in person. I went into J.Crew wearing it and the SAs were actually asking me where I got my coat! I told them it was the nordic parka and they said how they only had the navy version in store and they could not stop raving over how gorgeous and stunning it was in ivory.
My only concern is that it will get dirty, but I wore it for two full days of holiday shopping and it is still pristine - so far so good!

  6. Customer service for the win - and this is what keeps me coming back to JCrew. Ordered some earrings that had problems (beads fell out, then the post broke), and, after a little bit of back and forth, ended up with a full refund. Then, on top of that, the customer service person managed to track down an new pair, and they are sending me those.

That's why I shop with this company - they really seem like they want me to be a happy shopper!

Now, if they can just get some of their quality issues in check . . .

  7. I bought a pair of gold glitter gemma flats from the sale section for $25 or so over the summer and whipped them out today for my office holiday party. They are soooooo fabulous and I've been getting tons of compliments. JCrew has been knocking it out of the park with shoes for me lately.

  8. Mentioned this earlier in the week, but the Factory Navy Leather Jacket is gorgeous. The quality is such a surprise and the navy color is fresh and versatile. With today's extra 40 it is a steal at $168 and free shipping. It's a forever piece.

    1. Even though I realllly don't need to be doing any more shopping for myself this season, I bought the navy leather jacket today - I couldn't resist the price and I know it'll be a great closet staple. Looking forward to adding i to the closet!

    2. @Ruffles, I think another JCA (Monica?) mentioned how much she liked it recently as well and I know you gave it rave reviews earlier this week. At the time, I tried to look for it on the site, but I wasn't able to find it (maybe I looked under Outerwear or some such, but it wasn't showing up.) Anyway, I just did a search on the site and it came up - I called CS for measurements and I think the S size might work, fingers crossed! Thanks for the tip!! I'm hoping that I love it as much as all of you ladies do!

  11. A few loves for me as of late: Double-breasted blazer in Italian wool with satin lapel - item F8113. This blazer is gorgeous in person, and definitely worth the price with the extra 40% off. The cut is very flattering, and the satin lapel is such a lovely added touch. I had initially ordered the size 0, and while it fit well through the body, it felt a tad snug through the shoulders and upper arms, so I reordered the size 2, and it is perfect. I am going to pair it with the Lace Reindeer Tee (another love), Swarovski® crystal necklace in gold (love), and a pair of jeans. I also plan to wear it with the Tartan Maxi Skirt (another love), and a white button down.

I have also recently purchased both colors of the Tuxedo ruffle top in stretch silk georgette, as well as the polka-dot version...love all of these! I ordered my normal size 0 in the solid version, but sized up to a 2 in the dotted one due to the shoulders being tight on the size 0.

The Men's Slim oxford cocktail shirt in plaid in another keeper. I purchased this one for myself in a size small for a 'boyfriend fit', and love it. The quality is excellent, plus the shirt is soft and cozy/comfy to wear...especially when lounging at home.

Also love the Lady Coat with braided trim. I purchased this one is size 0, and it fits comfortably through the shoulders, as well as the rest of the body. As others have mentioned, the quality on this one is excellent, plus I happen to adore the longer length. I plan to pair this one with a charcoal grey Theory ribbed sweater, dark grey boyfriend jeans from Madewell, brown belt, and a pair of dark brown Cole Haan short boots. I'll also wear it with a white button down, jeans, and black booties.
