  1. Thanks Alexis and Sally! If any of these come in petite, I am in trouble! I really love the indigo floral...

  2. Loving the floral. Here's to hoping it comes in skirts dresses sweater

  3. The florals are so pretty but also I hope the prints come in more wearable items. I do not need another pair of patterned capris as long as I live, esp $300 capris :)

My VPS told me yesterday that there will be new arrivals in store on Monday but that it will be a small rollout. She said the managers have been meeting about what is coming for fall, and they are all very excited about the preview they have seen.

She also acknowledged the stuffed sale section at the moment and said there was "a lot" of cashmere this season that is not moving, but that customers are taking advantage of the markdowns and buying the more versatile colors for fall.

    1. ruffles, do you know if there is going to be a bigger rollout coming for July in addition to the small store rollout on Monday? or will that be it? thanks!

    2. cate, I'm not 100% sure about another July rollout, but it seems like even the SAs and VPSs are looking ahead now to fall merch. The first early fall rollouts usually start in mid July.

I honestly can't figure out where they are going to put any new arrivals in my store, because the sale section is so enormous. Will they send all this stuff back to the warehouse?

    4. Thanks. I think they'll send it back to somewhere, where it will languish in the online sale section. I haven't been to the warehouse sales, maybe it goes there too?

  4. I would love a few skirts in fun prints, that has been the biggest hole for me this year. Hopefully the fall rollout lives up to it's hype, however summer has barely arrived where I live so I cannot even start thinking about fall even if I do love fall clothes the best :)

  5. Picked up the tuxedo stripe cafe capris last weekend while they were 30% off! I've also noticed that the cafe capri rise is much higher than it used to be - I have older pre-baby size 6s that sit low on the hips (the original city fits) and are a bit snug, but the current size 4s fit perfectly. I'd say they're closer to the old "favorite fit."

  6. Wish we could see more! J. Crew probably doesn't want us to think about the next release until we buy more from the last ones! The floral prints are pretty but I am not sure they are for me. The pair on the right is either really pretty or it looks like a couch from my youth, I cannot tell from the picture. Come on J Crew throw us a bone, we want to see more from this release!! (Thanks Sally for sharing this with us though!!)

  7. Thanks for the preview Sally! :)

cate: I was in the store yesterday morning and saw a short-sleeve sweatshirt with an anchor in that floral print on the front. It is pretty, but I'm not sure how it will be in large doses. Hopefully we'll find out soon. :)

    1. I think I saw that top but I didn't realize it's the same print as these on the cafe capris. Interesting... I will have to take another look. I don't do prints well on pants, but I like them on most other clothes, so we'll wait and see.

  9. Honestly, I have been shopping more at the JCrew Factory than the real store. The prices and promos are better and they tend to have more wearable styles for me. At this point, I am SOOOO over capris! Where are the real pants/slacks? Linen, wool, or otherwise.....

  10. Oh joy still more Capri pants. not.
