Happy Halloween! {are you celebrating with J.Crew?}

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
I love Halloween- one of the best times of the year. Many of us will be out trick-or-treating with the tiniest members of our family, while others will be handing out candy (like myself!) or attending a spooktacular party with friends.

As per usual with the {celebrating with J.Crew?} posts, it might be fun to have a post on what we plan on wearing today. :)

What are you planning to wear this Halloween? Will you be trick-or-treating? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  1. Yes, perfect day for my orange Biella loafers! Great with the orange and black stripes in the camel plaid capris.

  2. My recent thought process:

    1. Reading about Hurricane Sandy on all my friends' pages and on the news is devastating. I hope everyone stays as safe as possible.

    2. I will go on JCA to lift my spirits.

    3. I bet the J.Crew at Seaport flooded.

    4. I wonder if they have underground stock rooms like at 45th St. They probably lost a lot of inventory.

    5. They could donate those clothes to charity.

    6. Wait a second - J.Crew circa 2012 barely scrapes through one gentle wash cycle; how the heck is it supposed to survive hurricane flood waters?!

    7. Yep, toss 'em. People can get equal quality duds at Target.

    8. And yet I continue to shop at J.Crew...

    9. Shoot, totally forgot about Halloween.

    10. Stay safe, friends.

  3. I had planned to go as a Capitol resident (from the Hunger Games) but not sure about going out anymore since Sandy. My outfit consisted of the Sequin Sunset dress (2010?), sheer gold metallic stockings, gold pumps, gold feathered fasinator and tons of gaudy gold jewelry and makeup.
My sister would've been in all silver. I thought it would be fun.

On a side note, some of J. Crew's (cough, Collection, cough) offerings this year look costumey, so maybe someone could just wear those awful pajama pants paired with the matching top shown above.

    2. Bwahahaha! Whereas no one wouldve ever noticed her thighs, now she looks awful. And I HATE photoshopping b/c I AM a terribly skinny boy-shape, and I'm always misled. Victorias secret is the worst, Im all, Oh, look how thin and tall this model is! I bet these pants would fit! And the pants arent cut like that is real life, they just streched the picture :(

  6. Wearing the bright orange/red merino boyfriend cardi today (purchased recently on sale).

Hope those without power are restored soon. Personally I'm devistated by the damage at the Jersey Shore. We have family near there and we were just at Point Pleasant this summer. : (

  12. Only jcrew is my black winnies but I'm wearing those with a black top and orange shoes and orange scarf. No one else at my office dresses up for anything, so here I am, sticking out as usual. Oh well, it's fun anyway! :) Happy Halloween everyone! Best wishes to those affected by the storm!

  13. QUESTION! (Sorry, I had to put that in all caps for a little extra attention-grabbing effect. :)

Does anyone know if you can purchase an item on one card and then return that item for a refund on another card?

I recently found out that Nordstrom allows this, and realized that's why the SAs always ask me, "Would you like this back on your Nordstrom card?" (Or whatever card it was that I used to purchase the item.) Then I remembered that J.Crew SAs also always ask me the same thing. I'd always thought it was just a politeness thing, but now I'm not so sure? Is there such an option?

Thanks! And Happy Halloween, everyone! I'll be spending mine shopping, hehe. ;)

  14. No costume, no kids and no J.Crew today...Black cowl necked Alo yoga top with Zoe Karssen "Paris Can Wait" tee underneath; Gap Always Skinny jeans, Steve Madden boots with orange zips up the backs. Oh, and a rubber jack-o-lantern ring that lights up when you press it from Walgreens, circa 2006! Happy Halloween!!

  17. Nerd alert: I went to a party on Saturday dressed as the J Crew catalog: bright green wool coat, Blythe blouse w/ a statement necklace under the collar, bangles & Crew rhinestone bracelet, red and blue patterned cropped pants, flat loafers, and orange lipstick. And I carried a copy of the latest catalog for good measure. :D A couple people got it, but I think everyone just thought I was wearing a really overdone outfit all night...
