This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

J.Crew of Season's Past: {a look in the closet}

It's that time again, to take a look at an image of J.Crew pieces from seasons past! As caribbelle (in this post) so beautifully termed, "ye olde j crew of yore".

The Flamenco-dot Marguerite Dress (Item 93603; $315.00) from J.Crew is one of my favorite dresses. The over-sized flamenco dots ("lunares" or "little moons" in Spanish) print is perfection!

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING/SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Madewell's Spring 2012 Catalog {double check it!}

"Thanks!" to many of you who shared the following news.

The latest Madewell catalog sent to customers may have a $25 gift card inside! You can redeem the card either online or at their brick & mortar (B&M) stores. The card is good from 3/6/12 to 3/25/12.

There is a quick note on the cover page that let's you know if you are a lucky recipient. The announcement reads: "Surprise: There's a gift card waiting for you on page 5."

I love that this gift card has no strings attached. There are no minimum amounts to spend, or restrictions on which items to purchase.

Madewell introduced their own catalog awhile back. To request a catalog, click HERE. The latest Spring 2012 catalog is actually a location catalog... PARIS!!! They even included a City Guide with some of their favorite hot spots. Très Bien!

So double-check your Madewell catalog to see if you got a gift card too! :)

I suspect the OURTREAT promotion that ended yesterday did not move as much Final Sale merchandise as J.Crew hoped for. Frankly, I think its because we have seen the same sale items (at relatively the same prices) for the past few months. (So shoppers interested in certain items already bought them.)

However, for those of you who have held out from shopping... Now is a great time, with the additional percent off and low minimum for free shipping. Especially for the few new-to-sale items. :)
