Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I visited my store today and brought home a few goodies, Knowing dressing rooms were not accessible, I measured other pants and brought a tape measure with me.
Surprise love. AJ438. Tapered pants with front pleats in red.
I took a chance on the 00 knowing the waist would work and they’re perfect. I normally don’t wear color on the bottom, but these are surprisingly flattering. I’m not sure how I’ll wear them, maybe a cream sweater with a little silk scarf that has some red in it for cooler weather.
I also got the button up shirt in leopard print, item AJ423 which I had contemplated to go with the coordinating shorts. My 24 yo daughter loved the set so I happily passed it on.

I took a chance on the collection jungle cat floral pant because I love the print but this cut is not my favorite style.ITEM AE698. Size 0. I listed for sale on Poshmark @ Suzhas but if any JCA want I’ll sell for cost/shipping. Dm on ig @ wearthis like this or email wear this like this at gmail dot com.

I also got the high waisted linen blend pants, size 00 because the measurements work but I feel like the rise is a little short on me (I also ordered these in a 0 and thought they might be loose). Item AN010. Black, 00. Waist is 26. They prob fit more like a 0. They’re very nice quality.

It was a pleasant, almost normal experience, (aside from no dressing rooms) and everyone was masked.

    1. If anyone has styling ideas for the pants, AJ438, please advise. The red is that orangey red, slightly muted, and doesn’t match my red tops, black makes it feel to Halloween. The color looks good with other colors but I don’t wear much. Have some light blue, chambray but it doesn’t feel like an outfit. A cream sweater was ok, maybe with a scarf it will feel more put together.

    2. The top shown with those pants is cute that’s about it:) I purchased itmonths ago and never wear it. Do you any of the old large jcrew scarves? I have one with the map of Capri in the muted orange with beige and aqua, this would look fabulous with a cream sweater or shirt. Keep the look as you always do, you great with your styling. You may have another scarf in your wardrobe that would most like pair with I’m sure. Good luck

    3. I have lots of scarves with small amounts of red and other colors. I actually don’t love the striped shirt they show with it, the fabric of the pants has a little sheen and I feel it looks a little dressier in person. I have a dark gray and white button down perfect shirt that may actually work with some scarves.
FWIW I tried with several coats as well and my favorite was the sort of lime green oversized coat I got from crew this winter (and never got to wear, thanks corona). The colors are both slightly muted Brights if that makes sense. I also like the pants with the Colorblock snakeskin mules, even though there is no red/orange in them the contrast makes the colors pop.

    4. I laid out a bunch of silk scarves that blend, coordinate or complement the color so I think that will be the way I add more color.

  2. Hi Suz, agree with Lynn that stripes would definitely work. There’s a sunset stripe top (on sale) that would pair well in addition to blue/white. I would try leopard or a navy sweater layered with a blue/white stripe shirt. If you have the cerise cats silk shirt, I would try that too. Not sure if you wear graphic tees, but the weekday tee in navy would also work with those pants.

    1. I don’t want to buy a specific shirt I wouldn’t otherwise wear. The fabric IMO doesn’t work well with tshirts. I don’t like how they style it with the striped shirt.
