Not that I need anything... but when do we expect the next sale on sale? It’s been over two weeks....
ReplyDeleteThe current promo runs through Thursday so MAYBE on Friday?!?!?!? The sale section fluctuates by a few 100, but I think most are buying the pop back pieces/sizes that mysteriously show up out of the blue.

ReplyDeleteI don’t mind because it’s making me really think twice about anything I want. Having to empty out my parents house over the next few months, I know I never want to basically hoard clothes as my mom has. I tend to not hold onto things (and houses) the same way but it is eye opening.
One thing i am contemplating is another pair of leather pants trousers. I found a pair online but it’s hard to pull the trigger. I probably have worn my leather Ryder pants 100 times since I’ve bought them, everywhere from work appts, dinners out and parties, traveling, dressed up and down...if it stops me from adding 20 cheaper pieces to my closet maybe it’s worth it.
Suz Has I think what you said is so true! Yes I miss the sale promos, but my wallet is in better shape and I'm not really missing what I didn't buy.

DeleteI love the leather idea! I don't wear my pants nearly enough, and after failing to wear them more last fall/winter as I intended, I am fully committed to wearing them all several times this year. I don't regret buying any, I just dress much more casually now and don't want to "waste" them...when in actuality I AM wasting them!
I stocked up during the last sale but Slim perfect T-shirt is on sale for a great price. I love this T-shirt. The weight is more substantial than many Ts. The sleeve length is a bit longer than a typical short sleeve but not all the way to the elbow, which is perfect. Excellent colors and stripes available! I often take an XS in J. Crew Ts but I like the fit of an S in this T, which makes it fitted but not at all tight on me.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't planned on ordering anything but ordered the lighter grey four season stretch Regent blazer and a white 365 tee - these tees have been in constant rotation lately and they are $17. I had an extra 10% code that J.Crew had emailed me last week (unique code) that still worked and had some rewards. I have not been buying much either though, and really don't need much. No extra % off sale means no temptation.
ReplyDeleteThe woven scarf in leopard (100% wool) popped back a few days ago and as it was only $17.99 I didn’t wait on a sale on sale promo and ordered it as a gift for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed that the Icon trench coat is 45% off today and I’m going to order that as I gave been searching for a replacement for my current trench coat that is starting to show a bit of wear. Bought it almost 20 years ago so it was excellent quality.

DeleteThe Icon Trench shows that the khaki is still full price, however...when adding it to the cart it is actually also 45% off, just like the black colorway.
