  1. Like a few people thought, sale is now 50% off. And their are over 3300 items in the sale section!!

    1. I was ready! I ordered 3 pairs of jeans, as planned, and added a few popbacks that I previously missed. 50% off sale prices plus the 25% off promo code makes for some excellent prices.

    2. If you ordered something before Christmas without rushing shipping, for a limited time you were given the option of delayed shipping for a 25% off code that expires 1/4

    4. I ordered too. Happy to see Italian cashmere from previous seasons, so ordered gray hoodie and navy featherweight v-neck sweater. Also snagged tartan plaid flannel pjs for $11 and Collection silk blouse in nightfall freesia for $19. Hope everyone was able to find some deals. Scrolling through 3500+ items was time consuming, but worth it. Stopped in store to make an exchange & prices were lower on two items I purchased. With 25% off coupon, prices were more than fair. New arrivals were in stock, but I didn’t see anything of interest.

  2. One nice popback tall blouse from a previous season, but checkout is frozen. Oh well....

    1. I got back super late from my family Christmas party and saw a few good popbacks and better prices for things I picked up during BF/CM. But checkout kept giving me errors! After three tries I gave up and went to sleep - then woke up 2 hours later to find messages from my credit card company’s fraud department. And of course half the things in my cart are sold out now. Oh well, I saved some money but the tech problems at JC are bordering comical now. Basically whenever they have a promo to draw people to the site, it stops working.

  3. regent topcoat is on sale now and with the 50% off, something like $130. I actually bought one a few weeks ago during the 50% off coat sale but ordered again one size down to compare fits, the body is really roomy (at least in the gray). So I'll have to return one of them, sigh. All this ordering and returning is so time consuming! Will have to do a shopping fast in January...

    1. Yea I got one In The past and the shoulders fit comfortably in the 4 but the body is very wide. I like it but it's not my most flattering coat.

  4. I got a gift card from my Hubs yesterday and tried to use my catalog coupons which expired on Christmas Day, they explicitly say they are stackable but when I tried to do it they wouldn't stack. I stacked the ones from the fall catalog with no problems. Now big markdowns but all FS, refuse to buy FS items no matter how good the price.

  5. Reposting - since I put it in the "other retail" thread in a sleepy haze...

Unimpressive Boxing Day promo - extra 30 % off sale with code "YOUDESERVEIT". Don't even know why they bother, especially when it's combined with final sale on most sale items. Says that it's valid in Canada only.

Before Black Friday and Cyber Monday started making their way up north, Boxing Day used to be the biggest shopping day for Canadians with the very deepest discounts. I see this as another sign that they are just not going to stay in Canada.

    1. I was shocked too. 30% off is ridiculous

    2. I’m in Canada and I received the 50% off sale with BIGGERSALE email code this morning,

    3. no thanks jcrew...30% off is just silly for boxing day. i am still not ordering as i am still mad over the past black friday cyber monday shipping fiastco.
i am taking all this as a sign jcrew is going to leave canada.....

    4. 30% off for boxing day..well looks like i will not be spending my $from santa at jcrew...
they really ticked me off with US getting 50% and canada getting 30 when yesterday was 40. i think all they messed up on this one. big time.

    5. Update: I receive Jcrew emails in two email accounts. The one linked to my JCrew account had the 30% off sale code, the one not linked had the 50% off code. Really, J.Crew? If your goal is to offend customers by treating some better than others, you’ve succeeded!

  6. I was up around 4am and put tons of stuff in my cart but then decided to sit on it for awhile. Some of the stuff has def been lower priced previously. Trying to make thoughtful purchases. Now most of it is sold out (like the candles I love and the block heel plaid pumps) so I'll wait it out.
Considering buying a men's merino hoodie. Not sure why we can't have nice sweaters too!

  7. Same! I was up until 11:30 and knew I would miss out but first day back at work so went to sleep...then when I woke up around 2:30 none of my unicorns were available so I passed. Didn't we just have all this stuff offered at lower prices a week ago?
Also scoped men's sweaters but final sale made me pause!

    1. Well after bigsale and biggersale comes biggestsale, so maybe at 60% there will be a popback for you...nothing for me either. But I did wishlist one pair of pants for my Hubs - if we hit 60% + my 25% I will order them.

    2. I agree! Always searching for maddies and blazers. I got stuck with a final sale dud for the man this Christmas.
I don't have a 25% off code, although that's probably a good thing at this (over shopping) point.

  8. Good morning! I scored some awesome popbacks for my oldest with my middle of the night insomnia. And while prices could be lower, there were some pieces that popped back and I know she’ll love (like the pineapple top and dress). I aim for spending less than $10 a piece and most items met that threshold. I still maintain that jcrew kids clothes on sale can’t be beat. Most have lasted through 2 kids and are ready for when baby is big enough for the hand me downs. Nothing for me as I’m laser focused on chic summer finds for our big Europe trip. Keeping my standards high so no sale goggles (though it’s hard!).

  9. Thanks to Lynn for the heads-up about J.Crew's huge sales update on the 25th! I was ready and scored a pop-back of a beloved sweater I shrank this October. :D (yay!!!) At the beginning of the update, the sales section had around 3500 items, many of which were items from last winter and deeply discounted. A few cashmere sweaters were at $40 even before the discount code.

  10. @Namora, Hi Happy Holidays!Happy you found some items. I snagged an Old Jcrew Cashmere Featherweight V Neck sweater in Dark Moss that was quite inexpensive as well. I’m so missing the “Old” Cashmere. I don’t even bother buying the new Everyday. Been on the phone for price adjustments as I am back home in Monte- Carlo now and have the chance to wear all of the ones I’ve been stockpiling for years:) Happy New Year to you and your family, always been delightful to communicate with you here.

  11. The manager at the Scottsdale, AZ store has been rude and dismissive every time I've visited the store. The rest of the workers at the store are actually very nice and helpful, but the manager's attitude makes me less inclined to visit. Not a fan.

  12. Just got the oversized wool topcoat from the super promo a week ago and it is laughably oversized. I didn’t realize it has dropped shoulders... why on earth did they put dropped shoulders on a coat?? The length is way too long for me at 5’1 .. the buttons start almost at my waist. I look both incredibly short and wide in the worst way. Sad I have to return at such an amazing price.

    1. eeps, was that the checked topcoat? That one appears to have a dropped shoulder, which I hate, too. I have the oversized topcoat in English herringbone wool and the shoulders on mine fit my shoulders perfectly. When I read your post, I double-checked the fit, just to make sure.

    2. yes, it’s the oversized check topcoat. i should have gotten the one you got instead - i didn’t look at the photos deeply enough. if i had seen the dropped shoulders, i wouldn’t have ordered.

  13. Just received cancellation notifications for items ordered well before the holidays. Not happy. These were gifts for a friend in the U.S. New rollouts are a disaster in my opinion. What were they thinking of?

    1. Same here, Lynn. Very disappointed. Plus I noticed the items that were cancelled show up just about every morning in the sale section. Are they available or not?
Thank you for mentioning the "champagne" sweatshirt at Nordstrom. It is included in the sale; I ordered it and it shipped yesterday. At least I know I'm getting that!

  14. @shopalot, I believe they’re having some very serious issues with their inventory control and logistics integration for one. Sure is t Apple Inc. Remember, the website availability is not in Real Time. Re: Nordstrom, I received the Champagne sweatshirt before I left for Monaco and it had a small white mark below the letters. I’m wondering if this had something to do with the material they used for the lettering. I also noticed it didn’t appear as sparkly as the tee however Nordstrom overnighted another one to me and I am pleased. For the price it is fine, if it gets reduced it even more:)

  15. This is not a "recent" issue per se, but my old supply of pixies (circa 2014-2015) are finally coming apart at the seams. I miss these pants dearly- in the structured, thick Ponte fabric that held its own at work and everywhere else for that matter. Will J.Crew ever bring these back in their former glory? And if not, has anyone found a reliable replacement? I am willing to pay up for the right pants- but I can't seem to find them anywhere!
