  1. I love the Stewart tartan everyday tote. I also have the navy stripe one and use these totes all the time. They're a great size, tough and hold up well to regular use.

Now if they could only take the attention to quality on these $8 totes and scale it up to the rest of the merchandise... ; )

    1. I've been using that tartan tote a lot this month for work, to haul packages to the post office, etc. I love it - lightweight, wonderful saturated colors on the plaid. Just pure classic Crew that is so rare these days...

  2. Reposting from the Vent post:
I got the mockneck center cable-knit sweater in the dark green last night, and I love it. It's 100% cotton and feels thick and substantial like an LLBean fisherman sweater. I've not been pleased with JC's sweaters lately (see: Point Sur ribbed turtleneck sweater) but this cotton mockneck is a keeper. I got it on BF for $39.xx and it's a steal compared to the LLBean cotton sweater I got last month for more than double that price even with a 25% off sale!

  3. I got my burgundy cropped faux fur coat (J9179) yesterday. IT IS SO FUZZY AND COZY! My husband's work holiday party is Friday, and the theme is apres ski, so I'm looking forward to wearing it :-) I find it TTS and took my typical XS.

    1. I love my coat too! I wore it out to dinner last week and I agree that it is so cozy and fun. I'll be wearing it a lot over the winter. I paired mine with a simple black turtleneck, the charcoal toothpicks and black otk boots and fun earrings.

  4. Wearing the block heel pumps in plaid today for the first time. Love them! Plus, got them for a great price during the BF sales. I personally like the jewel and pearl embellishments and find them comfortable to walk in. Coworker told me they looked "vintage."

    1. I think they're so pretty and I was on the fence about getting them, but I was worried about their comfort level having not seen them IRL yet.

    2. Have them too. Like them a lot. Work well with grey and black. Very comfy and tts. Also got them super sale, after I rebought them for cyber Monday.
I also got my grey cashmere wrap. It’s big. But very thin... going to return. I did rerun the Chelsea booties with Sherpa in black and now having buyers remorse...lol

  5. Have to give credit where credit is due. I liked two items when they first came out and waited until they made it to sale. Took some stalking (oh, if time was money...) but with coupons and birthday credit and whatever codes, i paid very fair prices.
I got the merino bubble sleeve turtleneck (black) in size small. I noted a few weeks ago that based on reviews I tried XXS, XS and S. all worked for different reasons but I liked the extra length of the S. Tried it tonight with my fairly low rise Ryder leather pants and it works.
Cap toe booties in faux snakeskin. Ordered my usual 8.5 after trying a smaller (7.5 I think) size in store which just about fit. That must have been pretty stretched out because the 8.5 fits fine with a thin sock. The heel on these is actually a little higher than I thought which I like. They can still work casually but looked nice with the leather pants and a few skirts I tried. I haven't gotten into the white bootie trend but this black (dark gray actually) and white variation works for me.

    1. I'd love to find the red patent or solid black version of these boots too.

    2. I'm glad you like them. I got the black ones as soon as they arrived in store and they're amazing. Great quality. I wouldn't mind snake or red!

  6. My Collection jacquard skirt arrived today and it's beautiful. I was able to stack a bunch of promos and gift cards and got it for about half price. I got my usual size 2 and it's a bit of a tight fit through the hips because I haven't been exercising, but it met the sit down test. Not sure what to wear with it outside of the ubiquitous chambray shirt or gray top with sparkly necklace. Would love to try the gray lurex turtle, but am afraid the nylon would be itchy. Anyone have any other suggestions? The fabric is just like it looks in the photo with bright cobalt blue one of the predominant colors.

    1. Why stick with grey and blue? How about a deep red turtleneck bodysuit or a gold silk blouse? I'd wear heels to balance the skirt length.

    2. Thanks. Will see if I can use my catalog codes to find something new like red or gold.

  7. Received New Balance 520 sneakers today in rose gold/navy and gold/off white. Fit is tts for me.

Leather backed birdie earrings. Lightweight and the beading is beautiful. Love these. Birds are different shapes.

Navy turtleneck poncho with buttons. Fit is definitely oversized (size down at least 1size) and it’s a substantial weight. Works well for layering over leggings and jeans with the shirttail hem that covers the bum. Received XS and waiting to compare to size small that finally shipped.

Pull on silk print pants in ivy shale. Ordered regular and tall size. Decided to keep regular fit (tts). Very happy with the print. It’s a lovely green.

    1. I got the 520 in gold/off white earlier this fall. They're awesome, I love the gold with it.

I got the silk pants in ivy shale in my usual JC bottoms size and one size up, and will be keeping the size up. For some reason I feel the hips and waist are slightly smaller than usual. The size 2 fits like my old Piamata x JC pajama pants in a XS. I got the blue shale Tippi and the color is a perfect match for the cats in the ivy shale print. I tried together at home and it looks great. I also have the matching jacket and I'm on the fence about keeping it. I look mildly ridiculous wearing them together.

    2. I don't love these pants as much as I love the paisley version from last holiday. I have the blouse, so I think the pants are going back...Kudos to anyone who is rocking them!

    1. Check out @jcrewismyfavstore on IG. I’m planning to wear with forest green Tippi and matching long merino wool cardigan. Also planning to wear Collection pink suede lace up top. You could also pair with camel. Cashmere heather acorn long sleeve tee and cashmere open front cardigan are potential options from older J Crew.

  9. Yes, I bought those pants too and paired with the light blue cashmere turtleneck but what shoes? I can't wear heels.

  10. I love the wool workwear jacket with sherpa lining, in buffalo check (K2381). What a fun jacket. It's substantial weight and seems pretty warm (haven't worn it yet).

  11. Casual look, paired with Love First Tee and dark green merino wool cardigan, or Navy, Heather Silver or Shell Pink, cashmere featherweight, with Tod’s Pink Suede and Light Blue Denim Driving Mocs, Blythe Silk Oyster Color Blouse, Collection Suede Lace-Up in Rose which I also wear with the Drivers or sandals. (Old Jcrew Featherweight) There are numerous possibilities as stated by others here. I’m presently in South Florida so I’ve been getting a a lot of wear with them. I will put them away when I return to Monaco after Christmas or perhaps wear them as PJ Bottoms at home:)

    1. I received mine too. It helped me pull the trigger on a cart of FS things. I have two more codes to use. I wish the expiration date wasn’t so soon.
