  1. In spite of the horrible website design I am like an addict.
Today I ordered the twist back tees for myself and each of my girls. Also snagged a popback of the glitter Mary Jane flats with embellishments. I don't remember how low pricing went on these but I know other shoes are double what they had been.
My gingham shorts have been reduced further to 14.99 so I asked for a price adjustment.
And sadly I have to report that I must return the glitter Mary Jane pumps I raved about in reviews. As beautiful as they are, sadly the 8.5 is just a little tight in this design. So if anyone is looking for them, they're stunning.

    1. @Suz I completely understand. Saw sale items had been further reduced and bit. I bought both colors of the cashmere striped sweaters(planning on keeping one), the long sleeve shirt dress and tie front top. I had a $25 off coupon from my store closing and it expires in a two weeks so I figured what the heck.

    2. Great deal on those shorts now Suz. JessF thanks for the heads up on the stripe cashmere sweaters. Great price. I wonder how they fit?

    3. Same here. I emailed this morning for a price adjustment on the twist back tee (I admit feeling slightly guilty about this as I was fine paying $18. $8 feels like stealing. I picked up the Love First tee which went on sale. Several other tees got further cuts. It seems a little concerning how quickly things are being marked down...maybe J.Crew needs to take the hint that things aren't moving. Or go back to the extra % off sale for the perceived discount.

    4. Shopping Celle, I have the solid color of the crewneck cashmere sweater and I had to size up. It is on the short side and a slightly boxy fit. The sleeves are more bracelet length. My regular size small was too skimpy and the medium I have is sufficiently roomy (you can see fit on my IG, I wore earlier this week with the foulard easy pants and coral Gemma flats)

    5. While they aren't as bad as H&M, J.Crew seems to consistently end up with a TON of inventory on its hands that it struggles to move constantly. Madewell seems to do a better job of this, probably because they aren't trying to cater to so many different customers (which seems to be the secret to their success).

    6. Shopping Celle, I have the striped everyday cashmere sweater, in the ivory poppy colorway. I took my usual size (xs). The sleeves are bracelet and the fit is slightly short and boxy, but I really like it. I can still half tuck it in my jeans, it's soft and the color is very pretty.

  2. Santa Monica tee went on sale. And, other items reduced further. Ordered the tee and the stripe cropped cardigan for a grand total of $44.

  3. I wore my Going Out blazer yesterday and I love it. It is a great alternative to have in my closet. I purchased the navy and will probably eventually get the black as well. Felt I should add a love here since I feel like all my posts lately have been complaining. There are a few gems out there but not nearly as many.

    1. I love that blazer, too. A rare gem. I have the black.

    2. I have it in grey and in black, and love it in both colors! It is both polished-looking and comfortable.

  4. I thought I was going to be done with my cycle of order/returning, but the additional markdowns got me. As I said before, I really don't mind no extra %off if final sale stays away. I picked up the elephant Marties in 1 size up, the gingham shorts (also 1 size up), and the bandanna Tippi. Hopefully they arrive before my Europe trip so I can take care of any returns.

    1. I found the elephant Martie in my store in 4T (surprising they had a tall) last Saturday. They are truly fun! Now I have to go see about a price adjustment, since they did drop again. My Mom found a chain of elephants necklace in her costume boxes, so I have the perfect accessory.
I was also thinking about the gingham shorts, but I've been able to restrain myself for a few hours. I have two pair of new shorts I snagged in the winter sales, which is all I need. I am seeking an excuse however...

  5. I ordered a few new things from the 40% off promo and am quite happy with them. I feel like J. Crew can be OK if they just amp up the styles more.

  6. This is almost silly but I got the knot back tank which I've been trying to grab for awhile. Reviews said it ran small so I ordered the green in small and black in XS. I love the texture of the cotton and the way the knot makes it actually fit my torso. The green works really well with the wide leg camo pants. I think for summer it will look great together with laceup sandals.

  7. I ordered a pair of Slim boyfriend jean in charles wash for $31.99. The reviews say they run large but I ordered my regular size. I was tempted to order the next smaller size, too, just in case. Has anyone tried them on? How's the sizing?

    1. Jeanne, I just bought those myself - I would say it depends on how ‘boyfriend-y’ you want them to fit. I went down a size even though I found my regular size fit fine in the store, because I was worried they’d just be too slouchy after a day’s wear.

    2. Thanks, cagliari67. I really like comfy, looser fitting jeans but I also hate when they stretch out and are falling down by the end of the day. I may wear these around the house for a little bit before I remove the tags to see if the fabric stretches excessively.

  8. I just got off the phone after successful price adjustments on a lot of items I ordered in the last two weeks. WOW! My Parke topcoat is now under $65. A terrific black silk print dress is $40. Elephant martie shirt at $20. Not to forget an entire wardrobe of New Balance gear for my husband and stepson at awesome prices. When I ordered those things I hoped for a further sale, but was happy with the price as it was. Of course, I went and spent some of the savings on a robe for me and a running tank and shorts for hubs to wear if it ever gets warm here again.
Thanks J. Crew! Especially for the Parke topcoat, which I actually wore yesterday due to the chilly weather. It is a well made coat, and I like the hand of the wool.
