OT but I thought it might be too late for the JCrewalike retailers thred. For all of you eyelet fans out there, BR Factory has a 100% cotton classic eyelet shift dress on clearance right now that’s a real steal (mine was $30 CAD in-store). It fits small, I had to size up from 12 to 14.
ReplyDeleteI never look at BR factory, (but recent bleakness at JC has me looking), saw some interesting things, gingham pencil skirt, cotton and lined, and a 99% cotton denim skirt that looked promising. Finding a simple denim pencil skirt (one of my summer staples) has been really hard this year. They are all weirdly faded or super short, etc.
DeleteI have been finding a lot to love at BR factory lately. I purchased the Academy Seersucker blazer (97% cotton, 3% spandex) and the Shrunken Linen Blazer (100% linen) both fit well are are classic pieces. Better yet between promos, style cash and rewards both were under $30. I have also had good luck with their boyfriend and skinny jeans. Decent quality for the price. I tried on the gingham pencil skirt. It fit well and was good quality but it was a bad length on me and the scale of the was a bit large for my liking but I would definitely recommend it.
DeleteI was eyeing the gingham skirt as well but they didn’t have my size. There are also some great prints in their classic shirts, but I seem to be between M and L. Still thinking about those as I love the prints so much.
DeleteI purchased the Gingham skirt last week. It is very much like Bodens Richmond Pencil skirt as far as material, fit and length. Size 2 fit me perfectly at 5'6" 115 lbs.

I'm confused about this promo. It says an extra 20% off for cardholders but the code does not stack with the 30% off. That being said, I did purchase the gold hinge bracelet, the wrap foulard top and the white crepe wrap top. I'm going to call and see if they'll apply the 20% off or just ask my store to adjust next time I'm there.

DeleteI placed an order earlier this morning and used the ‘SHOPNOW’ code and it worked. After I placed that order I noticed the new promo at the top of the screen. So strange. I’m pretty sure the shopnow promo was supposed to run until the 23rd?

ReplyDeleteI ordered that when it first came out and I sent it back. It's a cotton-linen blend, but the fabric was thick and felt weird. It also runs small. I ordered my regular size and the buttons were gaping at the bust.

DeleteSHOPNOW does not stack with TAKE2030 so you can either take a discount on sale or discount on full price but not both. Hard when there isn't enough in stock in your size on sale to meet the free ship minimum. One reason I've cut way back with Jcrew is they charge me $8 for shipping even when their promos say shipping is free. Even when they email me special promo codes saying shipping is free. And they refuse to stock petite sizing in store.
ReplyDeleteI read that someone emailed CS for the additional 20% off with the “card perk” promo but it didn’t work for me (real sad face!) CS emailed me to say that the 20% and 30% promos couldn’t be combined. I didn’t argue because I didn’t want to ruin it for the lucky ones... But I am still salty over here!!!
