Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

    1. Thanks for posting that. I actually put several items on my wishlist this time! I love the slim perfect shirt in the blue Liberty D'Anjo floral. I have one in pink from a few years ago and I think I like the blue even better. Also, I really like the painted regatta midi skirt.

And I'm interested to hear how the high-rise slim boy chino pants fit. I have such a hard time finding the exact perfect fitting rise. I want something that doesn't go so high that it hits my ribcage but also doesn't go so low that my butt crack shows when I bend over. Is that too much to ask?

    2. After seeing all the fruit items I wasn’t too impressed but this rollout has some really nice looking pieces. Love the bow tie shorts and the high low longer merino cardigans.

    3. Thanks for the early access link. I really like quite a few items. Made me smile and that is saying a lot for a Monday morning. Definitely will be buying the blue Liberty D'Anjo floral shirt.

    4. Thank you for the link! I def see an improvement in this rollout at least. I like the liberty shirts, the eyelet dress looks cute and I’m interested in seeing the regatta midi skirt. Even though I don’t need anything I’m glad this rollout has provided a few additions to my wish list. Still waiting on the cotton tiered midi skirt to arrive (ordered the lilac).

  2. I got a "VIP Crew" e-mail with the early access link, as well as a code for 30% and free shipping. I tested adding a bunch of new arrival items (non-collab) to my cart and they're all excluded from promo, so... thanks for the VIP code, JC.

    1. Same. Almost everything I added to my cart from the new rollout is excluded. So why even send us the promo code if it doesn’t work with the new arrivals?

    2. I hate seeing the "EXCLUDED FROM ALL PROMOS" when I put things in my shopping bag. Don't bother sending codes that don't work, J Crew. You're just p*ssing off your customers. :(

    3. I got 2 VIP codes (making up for the omissions of the recent past?). Neither worked on anything I would even consider. This does not build trust and confidence.

  3. @silver_lining; I got a "VIP" code as well. Everything I put in my cart was excluded. The only items the code applied to were select arrivals from the last few rollouts, nothing from the newest one. What was the point of the email?

  4. I like a few pieces but overall, most of the pieces are on the casual side. Where are the work items? I see a few work appropriate dresses but that's it. I am planning on stopping in to my store this week to see the new arrivals though.

  6. yeah... the things i'm interested in are excluded from all promos as well... totally dumb.

    1. I am in the same boat. Do you think there are better promos ahead or is 20/30 really the new/only way to shop now?

  7. Nothing for me this round. I feel like this is a record of not buying anything from the Crew!

  8. Heading in a better direction. However, I'm baffled at the lack of summery tops. The 3/4 and long sleeve Liberty shirts are great and quite versatile but why not create a sleeveless version? And why not put out some sleeveless or cap-sleeved work tops with some elegance? It's almost May now and all they've done for summery tops is put out a linen wrap top and a few casual T shirts.

    1. ITA. The Liberty sleeveless tank in symphony floral was/is popular and I’m sure it was much, much cheaper to manufacture than the long sleeve shirts. I’d have liked to see them in a variety of colors and prints.

    2. Agree with you both. Does anyone remember the s/s Liberty print shirt with the peter pan collar? Oh, how I love that shirt. TBH, I'm buying just about anything J Crew sells in the Liberty and Ratti prints. :)

    3. Nothing i want so far...hope the roll out has more than the early access..

    4. Agree. I keep hoping for a solid short sleeve machine wash top and they keep putting out graphic t-shirts and oversize boxy sleeveless tops. I don't mind oversize boxy sleeveless, but that doesn't pair great with high rise wide leg.

Also to whoever commented before about Jcrew not using their extensive color library, I couldn't agree more. There are several options that if only they were offered in another color other than black, navy, white, and red, I'd be excited about. How about some non-primary colors like rust red, or a muted yellow, or taupes or nudes for both cool and warm undertones.

    5. Definitely better than the last rollout. I’m craving prints and summery colors. Don’t see any must-haves right now but a good promo will tempt me.

  9. I agree with others that I like a few more items than the last few rollouts but really those items are all the Liberty shirts. It is a double edge sword. While I like the new Liberty prints I already own enough long sleeve versions that I can maybe justify purchasing one. Other than that I put the Eyelet dress on my wishlist but do not need a dress unless it goes on super sale. Also as others stated why send out a VIP code that works on virtually nothing?

  10. PSA: There’s on pair of tall slim boyfriend jeans in shelton wash in size 27 for $29.99 before discount:

    https://www.jcrew.com/p/H0916?color_name=SHELTON%20WASH&N=TALL%2032

IME these fit about 2 sizes large, so they’ll probably fit a size 29 or even 30.

  11. Take away the Liberty and Ratti prints and you get another bland roll out from the Crew. J.Crew, you really need to hire a creative director....STAT.

I am surprised to say this out loud but most of my full priced purchases for SS18 in the past few weeks have been from Zara, which is pumping out beautiful and sleek designs made in cotton or linen.

    2. They really are! I'm just never confident in quality.

  12. No VIP code for me (for several months now, actually), but the few things I wanted were excluded so oh well I guess. I won’t buy at full price with the decline in quality and unpredictable sizing lately. They have a lot of work to do to get me to buy at FP these days.
