  2. Love that they were nearly 2200 items in the sale section this morning. Hate that they weren't there yesterday with extra 60% off. Bah!

  3. YEP!!! I checked earlier this morning and it was the same ole' stuff. Just checked and there are all the pieces that have been hiding in the warehouse somewhere or were shipped from stores all across the country for the website (do they do that??)!! JC, sometimes you just take my breath away...

  4. The tennis racquet t-shirt is 100% cotton. I'm wondering which size I'd want, based on whether it shrinks in the dryer. Has anyone washed it and put it in the dryer? How did it go? I want to keep the smaller size, but I don't want one more thing that I can't put in the dryer. Thanks!

  6. I got the seersucker regent last week during the 60% off sale and it's gorgeous--i love the lining and the fit is a little more snug than the wool regent, which works better for me. so happy with it. -lep33shops

  7. Loving NOTHING. Each new roll out I get excited - then nothing. Gosh I miss the anticipation of getting the catalog and tagging all the pages of looks and items i loved!

    1. LOL! I love NOTHINIG too! I went in today to see if the items in real life will tempt me to buy and sadly, I was not tempted at all. What liberation! What a great feeling to walk out with just my purse! I used to love this time of year where fall clothing was out and I can day dream about what I'll buy once the weather is cooler. No day dreaming this year.

    2. One of the things I miss most ... I used to dog-ear page after page of the August and September catalogs with all of the fall things I would buy.

      Boden isn't a bad substitute :)

  8. I love that there is the option to upgrade from economy shipping to standard for $3 when you have an order that reaches the free shipping threshold. The order I placed yesterday will be here tomorrow and all items are in one shipment! I don't do this all the time but if I have a larger order I usually do.

    1. Yes! I love that too! Get the order SO much faster that way, it's totally worth it. Also sometimes it's UPS that brings it instead of USPS and that's better too.

    2. Madewell has free standard shipping for Madewell Muse status shoppers. I actually hate that J.Crew nickels and dimes loyal customers on shipping.

  9. A Love: I mailed back 3 things from 3 separate orders, but I put them all in one envelope and hoped for the best. Just got my refund emails yesterday and they only charged me for the one smart return label ($5). So relieved, I was suspicious they might charge the $5 3 times for 3 returns but they played fair. Thanks J Crew.

    1. I use my own return labels, and half the time they charge me for their smart label, even with a note on the invoice. But they always refund it after I email. Still annoying! -lep33shops

  10. I am wearing the Belted Gingham Dress in navy today. I love this dress and have styled it several ways this summer - it never fails to elicit compliments. In a sea of shapeless, OTS, hillbilly gingham (IMO) styles this year, it is flatteringly tailored and has the polish I need for my workplace. Quality issues aside, I've had a hard time finding garments at J Crew lately that flatter my shape and aren't way too casual.

  11. Well I ended up returning the black collection leather jacket that I got with 60% off but only because the faux leather one from Nordstrom that I tried fit and loked better (Blank NYC). However (hiding face) I do love that I also managed to snag the ash colored leather jacket for less than the black one with 60% off...so...that is DEFINITELY a keeper. In love with the color of that one. At least I'm buying fall stuff...

  12. Anyone have experience with the Seville espadrille wedge? They look so cute, and I really want a pair (especially with all the mark downs lately), but I'm uncertain of size, since I am between a 6 1/2 and 7. Would you size up? Thanks!

    1. Hi vkiss! In my experience I had to size down 1/2 a size. I know I read that other people had to as well.

    2. I'm with Lauren - size down 1/2 size. My normal size was all sorts of too large, but 1/2 size down was perfect.

    3. For me, they were a bit tight (and stiff IMO) in my usual size.

  13. It's 50% off all final sale items on J.Crew. I wasn't going to bite because I hate final sale, but I went for it anyway. I "saved" around $100. But then I still had to pay $5 shipping. I just hope everything fits.
