Weekly Share: Other JCrew-like Retailers

This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like Anthropologie, LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)

If you have recently encountered items that are similar to J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including experiences with certain merchandise pieces, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  4. Reminder that the 20% off Boden's summer preview will expire this Friday night (2/7). The code PRV3 is good for the 20% off as well as free shipping and returns.

I wrote up some of my favorites from the line in this post. :-) Lots of bright colorful florals this season, definitely welcome on a dreary winter day.

    1. I've recently picked up some Athleta gear myself. The sizing is all over the place and being short limits some of my choices. Sadly, I'm teetering on the edge of having become one of those moms who pretty much lives in Lulu and Athleta (hanging head in shame). Putting on jeans and a cute top has been an effort lately, especially w/the cold. I will do better come spring!!

    2. I hear you, Jruby - at this point in the winter, my only MO is to stay warm!

    3. I tried on their skorts recently and they all have this grippy rubber on the inside of the short part. I know it's supposed to keep them from riding up, which I guess is good, but I hated the way they felt.

  6. Not sure if any JCAs checked out the Ebay sale on New Balance. Seemed to have some good deals and free shipping.

  7. These aren't quite J. Crew-like, but I have wanted leopard print casual shoes that aren't calf hair (I must have a sensory issue with the calf hair, it doesn't feel good on me). So I've been looking and found these:

Leopard espadrilles, and they are so comfortable! Price isn't bad at $78. They feel more like shoes than espadrilles but look like espadrilles.
