I wanted a new cashmere hoodie and not liking the JC offerings for that past couple of years decided to try one from Quince ($90). Just got it yesterday so can't speak to longevity/pilling but I like the fit (tts), the zipper, thickness of the knit.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Ines de La Fressange Fall/Winter collection for Uniqlo launches tomorrow. I only saw two things that looked interesting, a striped wool sweater and a fair isle type cardigan I want to try. Waiting to see if they are 100% wool.
The Gap currently has a Merino Wool Boyfriend Cardigan (item #706752) in several colors which reminds me very much of old J Crew. 100% merino wool (unlike much of the 'Crew's current offerings which are either cashmere or an acrylic blend). I have many, cherished, long merino cardigans from JCrew circa 2010-2014ish and I wear them all the time. I picked a gray one from the Gap and am pretty excited about it.
ReplyDeleteI have last year’s version of the Gap merino cardigan. Recommend! It’s very nice, washes well & has no acrylic. Banana Republic also sells a similar 100% merino cardigan. Have several of these and can also highly recommend.
DeleteSpeaking of the Gap family, I finally tried Athleta Elation leggings which a gym friend has been recommending. Somehow I got 7/8 length in tall which I loved so I ordered a second pair. I guess I hadn’t noticed the full length when I ordered initially. They do not move, not see through and super comfortable. I like that the sizing is comparable to regular brands, unlike Lululemon.
ReplyDeleteI am also keeping Venture pants and Trekkie pants which were both on sale and a great price with the friends and family discount last week. They’re perfect for hiking and reservation walks without looking like I came out of an REI catalog. I have wide leg Cabo linen pants coming…tried a different pair of Cabo pants and liked them but wanted a wider leg.
They are not cheap, pricewise, but I have learned “cheap” and “athletic wear” (or pants in general) are not a good combo for me anymore. I’m too picky about fit and quality.
