I seem to be in the minority but I like thus roll out. Probably because I‘m on vacation and we’re doing lots of hiking and other outdoor activities. Also too early for me for fall shopping as I want summer to continue for a while 😎 September is when I usually start thinking about fall. As @Lynn said there may be more fall like offerings in the next roll out #fingerscrossed

ReplyDeleteSorry @fleur I haven’t seen this in store. My store doesn’t carry any sports bras or leggings.
DeleteIt doesn’t look like it’s padded from the model pic in gray. If you look closely you will know what I mean.

DeleteI did visit store last night. I tried the zipper chino dress in khaki color or beechwood item BA938. The dress is super cute. The color didn’t work on my skin tone. I am a size 00-0 in dresses. I tried a 0. The length came to an inch or inch and half above knee. The elastic band was a bit tight around my waist which was uncomfortable. Also there was a lot more material right above the waist band. The hips fit well. They had just taken it out of the box so was a bit stiff. It would soften with wash. I was told that a navy color will be offered in fall. I will wait for that. The dress wasn’t on sale. My measurements are 33-25-35. Height 5.7”. I have short torso. I think it will work better on longer torso women. I liked the concept so much I ordered the khaki green safari dress from Sézane after I came

I got my second relaxed line short sleeve shirt today, Item AY665.
ReplyDeleteThe black feels a bit stiffer than the white (which I already wore) but it could be because the white was in store and maybe it was steamed before they put it out. I did size down to an XS, I think with the already wide shoulders it may have felt a little sloppy with the S. I also roll the sleeve once.
I know there has been a lot of discussion regarding the slim linen vs relaxed fit. My problem with the slim perfect shirts is that when they fit in the shoulders and chest the body is weirdly wide and darted which makes it difficult for tucking. I think with that cut of shirt I can really only tie the waist. The relaxed fit for me tucks better because I can adjust the blousiness up top and create a cinched waist or partially tuck into looser bottoms.
I’m trying a few more straight leg jeans for fall. For me this is the hardest cut to find that won’t fit like a skinny Jean from the knee up. I feel like this is the one thing my closet is lacking right now. Poor me. 😆
Well, another pair of jeans being returned today. Maybe straight leg jeans are not for me. I may stop by my store to see if the new field jacket is in stock.
DeleteHopefully no shopping for me as I have more than I can wear already. I'm wearing an oldie but goodie - postcard print skirt G5308 reg/G6402 petite. It's from 2017. It boosts my moral to be wearing something so cheerful.

ReplyDeleteDidn’t look at much but last visit I saw Classic field jacket Item AW104
Color: DARK MOSS In the sale section on my last visit. Just a few pieces in this color and one or two in the more summery colors. Maybe earlier in the week it went into the sale section online, I posted about it here but it was right after the 50/60 promo ended.
In my store this color was 148.99 and sale section was still 50 off. I tried the XS which just fit but sleeves were short and it would be tight over fall clothes. The girl at the register said she could order the small for me at the store price but I left for my errands elsewhere in the mall. I decided to go back and tried on the large which was huge, so I knew the small was the right choice. Another associate checked and there was one in the back so I grabbed it. I was torn because I don’t need it anytime soon but I did really like it, and the dark moss is a great color for me. Works well with black but it’s a very subtle contrast. Since I often wear black I think I’ll like it better with my wardrobe than the new black color. I love a utility jacket and the length on this one works well when I tighten the waist. I could probably sneak one of the vests with similar gold snaps underneath and wear this through the fall. .
Everyone working was so helpful, I’m glad I was able to make another purchase there.
I really like that jacket. It’s too hot here in AZ to think about jackets. I have it on my save for later list. I think small will work for me. Thank you for the review, Suz
DeleteI admit when I saw those pastel colors with the darker collar I didn’t look twice, but the deeper colors look sharp to me. I also put the black in my save for later, just in case, but I think the dark Moss is probably versatile enough. The downtown field jacket (I’ve had and sold several) is not my favorite length.
DeleteBut my favorite part of the whole experience yesterday was the women working who kept saying how classic and timeless the jacket is…like relative to some of the styles that have been out lately I guess. One asked if I watched the Crown. I had no idea where she was going with that…she said it’s like the Barbour coats they wear to Balmoral.

DeleteI remember. And a few years back Madewell had a collab with another “good” brand (I’m blanking on the name) and I got a similarly shaped lined “rain” jacket I wear all the time. (I have to go check because it’s driving me crazy that I don’t remember.)

ReplyDeleteI ran by Friday to use my birthday reward before it expired. Store clearance was an extra 50% off. I didn’t try it on but saw the new Smocked neck puff-sleeve top in Liberty® Sea Blossoms Item BA884. The print is stunning with deep rich color and looks so much nicer in real life than online. I wish it had long sleeves as we head into fall though I picked up the Classic-fit shirt in Liberty® Ros floral Item AY658 and the Relaxed-fit dip-dyed Baird McNutt Irish linen shirt Item AY673 in stone white color. The shirts run large and I took a 4 in both. I also bought a Margo crewneck AM146 in the pale aqua blue cloud color purposely sized up so it would be oversized and slouchy. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

Hi Kate. It was $87.99 so $44 after 50% off. It is such a pretty print. I’m trying to think of things to wear with it now. Obviously chambray or denim would be good but I’m all ears if you think of something!

I think liberty is best fabric for wash and steam! They almost don’t wrinkle and always a classic!
