Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. All sale items 50’off. Some new markdowns! Somehow I am holding off! Idk if I don’t need anything or just spoiled by better sales. Happy Friday everyone!

    1. I did wind up with a pair of pastel ombre Chucks. They'll be house shoes, not outside shoes.

    2. I’m tempted to get the white high top converse but sizing on them can be so tricky. This style doesn’t say they’re unisex but others do.

    3. Well if they don't say unisex I'd order my regular smaller size and be prepared to argue if it is not correct. My husband would be two sizes above me, but I don't think he'd wear pastel, even though he wears Chucks.

  2. Toronto JCAs - went up to the Yorkdale JCrew to investigate when they would be closing. This was the first Canadian JCrew store, and it will be the last, after 10 years it is closing on January 24. Entire store is 50% off, they will continue getting new stock for the next month (all the pre-Christmas rollout) but after that it will be a clearance push, likely at 70% off judging by our other store closure in September. I stocked up on cashmere and jeans and will likely pop in several more times while I still can. Feeling particularly sad for the SAs, some of whom have been there the entire time it’s been open - including Karen who was the first to greet me when I went into the grand opening 10 years ago and has always been a wonderful person to talk with. I will miss going.

    1. I am so sorry to hear your store is closing. I’ve been employed in a position where a location closed and it is just heartbreaking for the associates. So many times people forget about the personnel when they are grabbing those going out of business bargains.

    2. This is so sad, the poor staff. Glad it’s not before the holidays but January is a quiet time in retail to find a new job. I always loved going into that store when I was in Toronto. It’s such a beautiful mall I can’t believe they don’t leave us one JCrew at least. I thought that store did well.

    3. As far as I understand, both the Yorkdale and the now-closed Yorkville location were very successful, high-earning stores. But JCrew seems to be closing most of its international locations as it wiggles its way out of bankruptcy, so I assume logistics and exchange rates etc were a factor. I was very much hoping they might maintain the Yorkdale location as that really is the premier Canadian mall, but nope. I will be very sad to see it go, both for the staff and myself.

  4. Hi! I'm new to posting, but have been following the blog for years. I have a fit/review question. I'm low key obsessed with the jungle cat print silk pants (Item AQ556). They just got further reduced but are Final Sale (ARGH!). I recently bought jeans from JCrew, but am not sure about the sizing of these pants since they won't have the same stretch the jeans can have. Curious if anyone has reviews. There's only 1 posted online and it's not really helpful. Thanks in advance!

    1. I don't have this one, but I have several other pairs that are very similar. I've found the fit to be tts and relaxed. @reallyrynetta posted a pic and said fit was tts.

    2. Thanks for sharing! Very helpful. And, yes, I totally saw the outfit on Rynetta's blog which further fueled my obsession! Haha! I just might treat myself!

  5. I’ve been trying to resist sale but I caved on the jungle cat print shirt AS226 for $38.50 had to add it to my collection for that price

  6. Has anyone bought the red patent Gemma’s? I have 2 older pairs that I bought in the smaller of my sizes 6.5 instead of a 7 but I notice the reviews say these run small. Not sure if I should order a 7 as they are final sale.

    1. I bought the navy Gemmas and my usual shoe size of 6.5 was fine. Not sure if the red are the same

  7. Has anyone had luck with teacher discount lately. SheerId will only verify sometimes. When I reached out they said one can only use the discount 3 times a year??? This is new to me - Called JCrew and they said it is up to third party and they don't control it. I used to use this discount everytime I ordered, but now getting a code is spotty. Anyone else heard of this?

    1. Yes, now I have to send a photo of my educator ID every time and wait for a code to be sent to my school e-mail. I have not done this in several weeks though, so I don’t know if things have changed even more. I also called JC and was told the same thing, ie, they don’t control this. Whatever. JC probably lost a sale or two from me because of the extra hassle but truth be told I’m not really interested in buying after deciding to donate almost everything I bought from them this summer. I’ve been filling any holes in my closet with older JC pieces from eBay instead. Sorry to learn of your frustration as well.

    2. The same happened to me last week. I guess it's a new policy where you can only submit three times a year. Oh well

    3. Being able to stack the extra 15% discount was really nice, so sad to see this go away, especially since I feel like I'm working on the front lines this year with so many extra hours of hybrid/in person/on zoom learning.

    4. This also happened to me. Ugh only 3 times! It should be unlimited if we are willing to spend money.
