I was up late last night and saw the 60 percent off WEEKEND but there were no sale updates. This morning there are a few more but nothing I put in my cart is eligible for sale.
ReplyDeleteAlso after not checking for a few days prices seem to have varied a bit and I really hate that.
Those essential tees that were on sale for $5 and change last week are $10.
OT but the shorts I ordered from Gap last week are quite a bit lower now. I realized they did not apply my rewards (I think because I used a Gap gift card) so I just reordered. I guess you can’t use a Gap gift card if you’re going to use rewards $$$? Why do retailers make everything so difficult.
60% off final sale is lame as so few items are included. Also some items that are "final sale" are still only 50% off. J Crew did not get any of my shopping money this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe went to return two pair of shoes where I'd tried two sizes. In the lucie suede pumps I took 1/2 up and in the suede moccasins I took my usual size (thought I'd need 1/2 up but they were too wide/long).
ReplyDeleteAlso returned Ludlow slim fit un-suit shorts. The glen plaid is very smart looking, but the cut was ridiculous. So un-slim that the wide hips and legs looked like a skirt on my husband. Glad I bought them at the 40% off not final sale than the 50% off final sale price.
I wore last years linen bermuda shorts and a linen button up shirt. Love the shorts, they are slim in the waist and hips but a bit fuller in the leg. Long enough to look dressed up. I also wore the snakeskin print leather mules from last year. I'm not a fan of heels with shorts, but with the longer shorts and lower block heels it felt right.
Just window-shopped the mall and did not buy anything like usual. I still think J Crew has some of the nicest clothing I see - so much more color & fun than most stores, and nothing tacky. Some items, like the linen shorts I wore today, can hold their own with garments priced 3X higher.

Also, just a little reminder that tomorrow, we're expected to have our June mid-month launch on the J.Crew site! This is a wonderful time to search for items that may have been out of stock -- your best time to check would be first thing in the morning, when our inventory is the most accurate.
Always wonder what not actually means ....lol
