Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Creaw this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I got myself a 484 Slim-fit jean jeans in white at the sale section and I paid around $20 for it which is a bargain. They're perfect for spring and also summer. I made a video putting three looks together of how I would style my white jeans. Click me  if you would like to see the video.

  2. It's become pretty easy to not buy anything with the lack of percentage off sale merchandise and otherwise lack of much I'm interested in. A top I want did pop back but since I bought one color at 40% off sale, I'm certainly not buying the other for more.

  3. Agree. I’m also a little miffed about the “work wear” connotation. I’m a teacher and depending on what school I work in can be wearing suit separates and heels or jeans and t-shirts and anything in between. Does wearing the latter mean I’m not “working?” I think that these kinds of promos are short sighted. 🤷‍♀️
That being said two items that I bought from a recent promo (40% off sale) qualify for the current promo. The knit dress and the shirt dress. I bought both in a medium for extra bust room. I have the knit in the navy and while the name is deceiving (I thought it would be more cotton like) it’s a great wrinkle free fabric. I love how the belt sits on both (higher up on the waist) and how long they are (I’m 5’6” and they’re below the top of my knee cap). I got the shirt dress in the olive which has understated gray buttons down the front. Both dresses are updates from dresses of J. Crew’s past. I recall a knit belted dress from around 2007 with gold buttons and a collar? I much prefer subtle changes to classics like these than a different color in the same printed t-shirt from last year (“Salut!”).

  4. Went to my closest store to make a return yesterday and found out they are closing on the 12th. It is the Lehigh Valley Mall store in Allentown Pa. I can’t say I am surprised as the store is small and doesn’t carry that much. It is never busy either. It is disappointing as it is the closet store to me at 40 minutes away. I will now have to make the hour trip to King of Prussia. This is just another reason for me to buy less. I like to order on line but have the option to return in store. It is just easier for me that way. It sounds like my store just was informed and the closure is happening very quickly. Bummer.

  5. Proving that I have no self control, I bought a skirt at Factory about 2 hours after declaring I’d try NoShopMarch. It’s the printed pencil skirt in sateen dot, and I couldn’t resist the old school paisley print. Fit is TTS, and at $25 I thought it was a great value. But I’m going to have to stop shopping if I want to stop buying, I keep finding these treasures that I can’t pass up.

  6. No visit for me this past weekend. I had a busy weekend and the latest rollout wasn't enough to pull me in. I'll catch up in a few weeks. I did grab the black Nordic boots on Friday for $56, even without the 30% off those are a good deal (the snowstorm on Thursday night had me thinking about boots still!)

OT but Banana has 50% off sale, 10% extra if you're a cardmember and early access for their F&F at 50 + 10 for cardholders, no merch exclusions.

  7. I’m sorry but this promo is so boring. And it lasts until Saturday! They just had 30% off full price items for what felt like forever. I think pretty much everything in the ‘wear to work’ promo was included in that. I was in the store last week (Tuesday I think) and they had just done an in-store ‘wear to work’ promo. I wonder what they’re doing in store now?

  8. I bought 3 items from the last rollout and didn't like any of them, so I went to do returns. The store has been transformed with random beauty products and flimsy underwear displays form the new intimates line taking up a large chunk of the main floor. I felt like I walked into A&E/Aerie, and really felt that at 38 I had now been aged out of J.Crew. I have zero desire to go back in.

  9. I popped in on Friday - probably hadn't visited in six weeks. Everything felt so cheap and flimsy! Nothing I want. I used to buy multiple items per month but in the last few years I'm down to one item every couple of months. I do miss the old days!

  10. I did not go in but I did order the Perfect Rainjacket. We'll see. But that "subtle pink" lightweight sweater blazer is lovely, if only it had some sort of gathering at the waist, perhaps in the back or something. That straight down type of jacket (on me) would look matronly.

    1. I also ordered Perfect Rain jacket :) and hoping for the best. It's not like there is a great selection of rain jackets out there anyways. Boden has some but I just do not like prints.
I also got "breeze in-breeze out" work out tee. It say that to myself during some of the workouts quite often.

    2. Speaking of rain jackets.. Target just announced a collab with Hunter Boots that will include galoshes, rain jackets, etc.

    3. Banana Republic had a beautiful looking floral rain jacket out last season, it was part of their Life in Motion line. It sold out really quickly, so I’m surprised they aren’t offering another version of it for spring.

    4. I really like the yellow perfect rain jacket. If they have one for mens I would definitely buy it. They use to sell Fireman Jacket last year and I completely missed out.
