Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Creaw this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. The big store in Boston had tons of sale stuff and mostly marked down again plus 50 off was things for almost pennies. I got the last black Harlow cardigan in the store for $15! It is the one with the ribbon trim. I also got the Up Beat pink t for $6!! Great deals!! I tried on the t with the sheer top with the stars. I love the top but the bottom fit like a too short t shirt so I passed. The sparkle long sleeve t with bell sleeves was also super cheap but again too short and not flattering on so I passed.

  2. Can anyone help on sizing for the Liberty Shirt in Ros Floral? It is pretty much the one thing I am interested in but a few reviews said it ran small. I did try on the Catesby floral and found that that fit in my normal perfect shirt size. Any help would be much appreciated!

    1. Yes, runs at least a size small. I was not able to button my usual size. I suspect my next larger size would have been ok to slightly tight - but wasn't able to confirm since they were sold out in next size up. I'm still stalking the pop back. I didn't think I really needed it anyway, but after it came, I just loved the print even more.

    2. I purchased the larger of my two regular numeric sizes and it fits fine. I love the print as well. I ended up purchasing the sleep shorts as well.

    4. Thanks! I'm not even sure what my regular size is at J Crew anymore! I will stalk both regular and one size up since it sounds like either might work. THANK YOU!

    5. I typically wear a 2 in tops but take 4 in perfect shirts because of the narrow shoulders and high armpit holes. Did the same with the Liberty shirt and it was the right thing to do even though the body (waist and below) was looser than I’d like.

  3. Well I visited and the store was a madhouse. No sign my store is closing so I’m crossing my fingers. On another note, my feet have not returned to their normal pre-pregnancy size. I wore a pair of Gemma’s on Saturday and my feet were in so much pain after just a few minutes. I go back to work in about a month so I’m stalking Ebay for a half size up options of my favorite crew flats. I hope this is not permanent - my feet didn’t grow at all with either of my previous babies!

  4. Ladies, any idea when the next big rollout is slated for? Anyone have a preview of good items? I saw the picture with all the denim, but wondering if there’s good collection items on the way. I know, the hope should be next to non-existent, sonyou guys are my last stop before I make up my mind. Thanks!

    1. Side note: I got the pups in my email this morning. If my eyes could roll back in my head any further, they might stay there permanently...

    2. I was wondering the same thing maqsad. The french denim look is nice but not work appropriate for many of us.

    3. Yup! Also, just learned that Madewell’s online order return window is now 30 days - in that items have to be back within 30 days for a full refund. Just FYI. I was given a “one time exception” bc my return arrived not much longer after, but only after I called in to protest the gift card they initially issued to me. Ugh

quality collection items. i also am wondering if anyone has an upcoming sneak peak. there was a jca who sometimes posted pics from a concept store. do those stores still
      exist?

    1. @silver_lining, thank you for the heads-up! Another reason for me to use Paypal when I know an item might need to be returned via mail. :)

    2. What makes the difference when using PayPal? You don't have to pay return ship fees? I am slow to the online pay means. I just learned about the Cash App

    3. @Rashawnda, Paypal will refund you up to $30 per return for 12 purchases per year made through Paypal. : ]

    4. @Namora, thanks! I use PP but had no idea.

Shipping related, when I am signed into J.Crew, there is a box near the checkout button that says 'Your Perks'. It lists free shipping and free returns. I am not a cardholder. Anyone know anything about this?

    5. @ Rashawnda and Sarah, just want to clarify that it’s up to $30 of the return shipping cost that PayPal will refund you :D. I was not clear in my earlier comment.

Sarah, I am a cardholder but do not get free shipping and returns as perks. The four perks, at least for me, are just the $25 for every $500, eary access, $25 birthday coupon, and free alterations. The last perk is useless to me because my German tailor is fantastic. HTH!
