ReplyDeleteThe dress I bought 62 days ago is now on super-duper sale. And it's been so since last Thursday. Ugh. I can't return the other one now for a refund but could I return it for credit?
all they can do is say no....but they just might say yes.
DeleteI have called CS and asked them to extend the return deadline two times. Both times they did - one with no problem, although the other representative gave me a bit of a hassle. Ask them to put a note in the online order screen, and get their name in case the SA can't see the note and needs to verify. At the very least, you should be able to get store credit.
DeleteFlower power, if you're only 2 days over the return period I think you will have success with a refund. If not, I think they will at least give you store credit. Like unknown said, it can't hurt to ask.
DeleteOrders really seem to be taking awhile. :( I like to return things I don't like ASAP but hard when it takes a week and a half for an order to ship.

I don't see anything really fabulous in the new roll out. I am sure I will change my mind though as I see things in person. I still have my Christmas gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket. I know something will come along. I really feel like a lot of older styles are going to come back around. I still have my collection snakeskin ballet flats that are very similar to the ones in the new style guide. I think they were ceces.

DeleteYes, the website is really messed up. I thought it was just me but it sounds like I'm not crazy. I posted here late In the wee hours on Thursday morning that the website was down. It was only down for a few minutes but it has shown 1152 items in the women's sale section since then. Is that what you all are seeing? Anyway, I was googling an item for some reason and I clicked on the link and the item was available! But, it didn't come up when I searched it on the website, and the price was showing full price but when I put it my cart it was marked down. And their are lots of items like this! So weird! So, if you are looking for something maybe try that method to see if you can find what you are looking for.

DeleteRecently ordered the COLLECTION DRAKE'S® FOR J.CREW PANT IN BIRD OF PARADISE and WOMEN'S SPERRY® FOR J.CREW SHEARWATER SHORT PULL-ON BOOTS. Both should arrive on Wednesday. I have the DRAKE'S® MIDNIGHT UNICORN pants and love them so couldn't resist the BIRD of PARADISE with the discount + an extra 50% off. SPERRY® boots were marked down just a few dollars but that makes them qualify for the extra 50% off. I can always justify another pair of boots in my climate.

DeleteFree ship + 50% off clearance at Factory today. I'm tempted by the donegal wool turtleneck, which nets $20 -- but I don't *need* it so I'm trying to stay strong and stick to my shopping break for a bit longer.

ReplyDeleteStopped by my store to return the pajama top in tipping (I ordered the next size and waited for it to ship!) and the Regent blazer in blackwatch with satin lapel...loved it but felt I needed a tall size, it was just boxy on me.
ReplyDeleteTried on the snap front pixie jodhpurs and the ones with the faux leather. I ordered them in a OO and think they might end up going back. The length is actually a bit long and they bunch up. The length of the ones with the faux leather was better but they didn't have a 00 in store and the 0 was definitely loose in areas. These felt a bit thinner/stretchier than the other ones. I'll try the other ones at home and see. Maybe the regular ones without the snap would work better, but then I feel like I'd just be in leggings.
I also tried the field mechanic jacket which is on sale online but not in store. I ordered an XS but prefer the slightly roomier feel of the S So I might exchange it in store and they said I could pay the same price I paid online. I think if you're taller than 5'4" or so sizing up might be the right move. My regular size fit but just felt a bit skimpy, especially because I like the waist gathered pretty tight.
I left with two clearance items.
Satin ribbon belt item G0459 in the golden chartreuse color. This is much prettier in person. It reminds me of the Campbell daisy blazer color from last spring. I haven't held them up together, but it's not chartreuse as you'd imagine, and not as lemony as it looks online. The reverse is almost a Kraft brown color and there is a fine edge in a deep garnet red. I like this under a blazer as it was shown with the blackwatch plaid blazer and jeans, in the navy color, but also to break up an all black outfit. I'm practicing my single loop bow. ;)
I also got the Sadie "loafer flats" in the cherry print. This runs about a size bigger than the Gemma size, so I sized down to an 8. I wasn't the hugest fan of the cherry print but I'm always in red and black and the cut of the shoe is very flattering. If you can snag these at the sale price I recommend. They're fun. Very retro style.

Ebates is 10% for J Crew. Ordered a couple of oldies that popped back, garland crystal necklace and knotted sandals with ankle ribbon tie. Both will work well for spr/sum.
