Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. OT - Has anyone tried washing and drying the SEQUIN SIDE-STRIPE SHIRT? I'm particularly interested in how the sequins held up in the dryer.

    1. I don't think I'd put sequins in the dryer, wouldn't they melt with the heat? If you had to use the dryer, I'd use no heat and dry the shirt inside out.

Can you hang it dry? That would be safer.

    2. I washed mine in a mesh bag on gentle and it did fine. I threw it in the dryer for about 30 seconds and then let it hang to dry. I ironed it last night and it looks beautiful. I did not iron the ribbon trim or the sequins of course but it looks good as new. I was very pleased as I did not want to hand wash.

    3. Thank you ladies. The instructions on shirt say tumble dry low but I think I'll hang to dry.

  3. Anyone see the Cece Ballet flat email this morning? That should make some people very happy!

  4. I'm in "LOVE" with the Abstract Fair Isle sweater item B6163. I saw it recently on a you-tuber and the patterns and colors were so vibrant I had to have it. Lucky it's on sale for 89.99 with an additional 40% off ( came out to ~ 53 before taxes and shipping). Initially only the cloud violet was available but I checked back this morning and the pink/red version was available so I snagged it. I'm not sure of the fit so I got one in a medium and one in a small. Also loving the look of the slouchy merino sweater item B8889, but it was 89.50 with no additional percentages off so it was wish listed. Anyone with any reviews of the Abstract fair isle sweater?

    1. Birdie, I think Gigi reviewed this sweater (gigisgoneshopping) and also Rynetta (jcrewismyfavstore). It has also been getting a lot of love on Instagram. HTH!

    5. I bought the sweater in my usual JCrew size and love it. I also bought the scarf to match but I haven't worn the combo yet. I think you will really like the sweater, I have the pink/red version. I initially didn't like the cloud violet until I saw it paired with a black watch plaid shirt underneath, then I really liked it.

    6. Thanks everyone! Gigi I checked out your review and think the sweater was super cute on you. I am so tempted to get the scarf and after seeing those pics on your blog again I think I will. Doodle Daschund congrats on scoring the scarf and the sweater! I think I will love the sweater, I have long arms and a long torso, so I'm always worried about the sleeve length and if sweater will fall at my hip. But the look of this one was so unique I had to have it. Can't wait for a visit from Mr. Brown pants.
