Happy Holidays! {celebrating w/J.Crew?}

First and foremost... Happy Holidays everyone! It's the time of year where we can spend time with our loved ones, enjoy fantastic meals, and share thoughtful gifts!

Per JCA tradition, this post is to find out what everyone is going to wear. I find it really interesting to see what other Aficionadas and Aficionados plan on wearing (and of course it gives me lots of wonderful ideas for future outfits). :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear for the Holidays? :)

I am still not sure what I am planning to wear for today and tomorrow. However, I do know I will be sporting the Chateau Parka in Heather Dusk as well as a pair of red Ribbed Glittens from J.Crew. I love both items so much!

What are you planning to wear this Holiday party season? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  1. Wishing you and your family an amazing holiday, Alexis!
Can't wait to read what you decided to wear with your chateau parka.

My outfit will be the Cashmere boyfriend sweater in heather acorn, faux leather midi skirt, and the Harper leopard flats. and my daughter will be wearing crewcuts... :-)

  2. I plan on putting on my Jack Wills Christmas sweater and my only red skirt from J.Crew; possibly complete that with a J.Crew Thinsulate coat depending on the weather (no white Christmas in the East Coast for sure though :/ ). Just received a Madewell plaid scarf from a coworker today... will definitely wear that as well!

    Happy holidays everyone!

  3. Happy holidays Alexis and to all the other JCA's out there. I'll be wearing something stain proof as we are cooking for 10 of our family members and friends. I would like the model's outfit at my dream Christmas dinner world when food magically appears on the table and I don't have mashed potatoes in my hair, it's one of my favorite J Crew photos of all time.

    1. Depending on how you look at it, there are some new or not new arrivals at Factory. Several copies of retail, like the moonglow paisley top.

I think they're going to send all of the ugly sweaters from retail to Factory next year.

  5. Merry Christmas Alexis! I always love to see what everyone is wearing for the holidays. I've been wearing my JCrew red leather gloves non-stop, great for driving around and so festive. Tonight it will be the wool and silk cafe capri pants in black with a plain black sweater and a Lulu Frost necklace from JCrew in red and pink... I hope everyone has a happy and safe Christmas Eve!

  6. I have no idea but I'm going to use this thread for ideas! I always love the idea of sweaters, but my reality is I'll be mostly indoors and most sweaters are too hot. I they aren't too hot, then they aren't very festive. I need to find something festive but not too warm. Suggestions?

  7. Merry Christmas, Alexis and JCA's! I'll be wearing the Stewart Tartan skirt (with the back pleat), Black Tippi, black tights and black Ames boots. I love that skirt and have worn it on either Christmas Eve or Day for 8 years now. Classic with a twist, JC! Do more of that, please. ; )

  8. Christmas Day I am wearing the Elephant Parade skirt with black cashmere sweater and JC Factory Isabelle black/gold cap toe pumps. Not sure about jewelry yet. Probably throw on a black faux fur except it's supposed to be 65 degrees tomorrow in Washington DC??!!!

  9. I am already in my Christmas Eve outfit for a half day work....:( Embroidered peasant top in green plaid from last year. Forgot I had it and it, still had the tags on it. I think I bought it way after Christmas last year on super sale. I am also wearing dark wash toothpick jeans and some classic patent ballets that I dug out of a box at a warehouse sale a couple of years ago. I have the same problem today with warm weather so no sweater for me today. Love this blog and Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!!

  10. Merry Christmas, Alexis and JCA ladies!

I'm wearing a classic J.Crew plaid shirt with a sparkly necklace and black pants tonight (pictures of my Christmas eve outfit are here). Tomorrow the pants go on repeat and with an off-white top and gold accessories.

  11. Merry Christmas! I've got a head-to-toe J. Crew outfit for my last day of work before break. Campbell Capris, Tippi Sweater over Gingham Perfect Shirt with Elsie Suede Pumps. Tonight, I am not sure what I'm wearing yet, but I'm thinking about the Navy Velvet Toothpicks with the Ruffle Collar Blouse (which does not have a ruffled collar) and the Everly Cap Toe T-Straps in the Navy and Maroon print.

(I just treated myself to a Lulu Frost necklace with the 30% off. Merry Christmas to me, I guess).

  12. Merry Christmas, Alexis and JCAs! I haven't yet decided what I'm wearing tomorrow, but tonight I'll be wearing the Embroidered Overlay Dress from Land's End with a black shrug and black suede knee boots to the Christmas Eve service at church.

  13. Also, Merry Christmas to me. I ordered the Cyprus Calf Hair Sandals that were new online this morning. I am a calf hair fanatic. I have been waiting for JCrew to do an affordable calf hair sandal and these were about $60.00 with the 30% off. I will post a review when I get them for anyone else interested. I also ordered the black watch popover with sequin trim that went on sale. That will probably be my outfit for next Christmas Eve if I follow the same pattern as above. LOL.

  14. Today I am wearing last year's Toothpick Cords in the color charcoal with the Red Tartan Popover. I just plan on hanging out and cooking Christmas treats with the kids since it is nasty and raining outside today. Merry Christmas to Alexis and all my fellow JCA's!

  15. Merry Christmas JCAs! I'm wearing the factory grey/silver snowflake tshirt from last year with dark green minnies from a couple years ago and a new BR oversized white cardigan. I'm still undecided about tomorrow's outfit but probably will be red wool factory skimmers from last year...

  16. Merry Christmas Everyone! This is a wonderful forum, thanks so much for all the reviews this past year. They've helped me a lot in my own shopping adventures since I don't have a B&M store nearby. Today's outfit will be my red/black/gray plaid flannel shirt from Madewell, gray 'sateen' toothpicks from JC, and burnt red Frye riding boots. I'll be spending most the day in the sewing room before getting the Dungeness crab ready for tonight's dinner. Champagne, of course, will also be involved. Hope you all have a great day and evening!

I paired them with a navy sweater & field coat look alike from Old Navy, a green Maltese cross pendant from Lucky brand & navy ballet flats from me too.

  18. We're going to see Annie this afternoon. Mini's first movie theatre show. I have no idea what I'll wear, but it'll be casual. She will be in a tutu, of course.

  19. Last night for a holiday party I wore: Minnie's in black, black patent Martina's, with the graphic plaid blouse and bright red Clare cardigan. Tonight will be the silk heart print blouse, the pea pod pendant necklace, with bright green embossed Hampton pants from BR and gold Martina's. For a casual Christmas with family I am thinking of doing the rock salt plaid with the stripe tee underneath, and black pixies. Happy Holidays to all!

    1. sunny - From how I'm reading it...

30% off the full price styles end today, 12/24 & also on 12/26. I take that to mean that some of the styles that are currently 30% off won't be as of tomorrow. Some full price styles will still be 30% off thru 12/26.

40% off sale items ends on 12/26.

Who wrote the legalese for this one!?! lol

    3. The above is a direct copy/paste from the website.
I see what the difference is likely to be....for the first time, the promo is different in Canada vs the US. Likely to accommodate a different promo for shipments to Canada on the 26th and after, as the 26th is Boxing Day here and the equivalent to Black Friday in the us. Never seen two different promos before. I couldn't understand what everyone was talking about with offer expiring on the 26th. It definitely was not what I was reading, per the above.

  26. Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! I love these kind of posts! Last night, I wore the J.Crew factory shirttail mini in boulevard green with an Equipment silk long-sleeve shirt in a red color. I also wore that oversized plaid scarf from Target that Melissa posted about awhile ago...love it! Finished with tights and ankle boots.

Today, I was planning on wearing my navy velvet toothpick pants from J.Crew from a couple years ago and my blackwatch plaid shirt (either from last year or the year before that..I have too many), but I stayed in my loungewear. Today was spent just cooking and celebrating with my close family, so it was nice to be comfortable!

  27. Thanks Alexis and JAC community! I wore heather blue lambwool sweater from last year paired with gold elephant skirt with tights and black boots yesterday.

Today I have on the oversized turtleneck stripe top paired with simple jeans and the lovely Chateau Parka in dusty ginger (yes, echoing Alexis' love for the coat).

Merry Christmas to everyone in this community!
