This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,

might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy

I got the Relaxed saddle sleeve crewneck sweater
ReplyDeleteItem BD413 in "heather orange slice," and it's nice! It's "relaxed" for sure but not sloppy and it drapes well. I worry that it might stretch out - the knit seems loose. It reminds me of my shetland sweaters from 2004-2005 J Crew (but not as tightly woven). Might be worth a try.
I have reviewed my closet and concluded (no surprise) that what I already own is much better than most of what I could purchase today.
ReplyDeleteAnother shopping fast is coming up. It's sort of a cheat because it's the time of year when retail can look a bit stale and unappealing. Of course, there is NOT one bloody thing that I need. ("Oh reason not the need.") The easy part is when there isn't anything you want.
I'm wondering if J.Crew will change directions and get back to less "relaxed" and more tailored clothes in prettier colors. Even if they do, it will probably be months before that happens--if it does. I'll still be checking them out to see how the new arrivals look. I just need to stop looking at Net-a-Porter. That's where the temptations have been for me.
Styling the metallic ruffleneck blouse, cashmere lined tech gloves, and Remi pants on the blog today. Everything is currently on sale with BIGSALE promotion.

Visited my store for prob the last time this year. Everything had been moved since Sunday. I had been looking at these online and found them in store and I’m glad I did. Had I followed reviews I probably would have sized down in the shirt and sized up in the sweater.
ReplyDeleteBD533:classic-fit flannel shirt in good tiding: sized up to 8
BD150:stripe wool cash tneck: size XS
I’m long waisted. My shoulders are like a 4/6, I don’t have much of a chest, but my torso and waist are a 00/0. I tried the shirt in a 4 and it felt skimpy. The 6 fit perfectly except the sleeves felt a little short. I found an 8 and decided to try that since I usually like the extra length. That’s what I got. The little extra will allow for any shrinkage. I’ve been looking for a red plaid button down for years to replace a smaller scale red factory popover and this worked well.
I read reviews for the sweater (and its solid counterpart) last night. Granted I wish it was a tiny bit longer in the back but I could tell I’d be able to tuck just enough even with looser jeans and this also replaces an old striped black and white sweater that got too tight in the shoulders. Oh, I also tried the sweater in the solid burgundy. I loved the color but the shoulders stuck out. This is noted in the reviews. I tried three sizes and two XS and it still did the same, so I passed on it. Maybe if I steamed it I could soften the shoulder but I didn’t want to take a chance.
Posted some quick try on pics on the unofficial JCA Facebook group.

ReplyDeleteI decided to buy a few things today. Called short hills store and picked up Cashmere track pant Item BD031 and Honeycomb cashmere rollneck™ sweater Item AU217 in heather Muslin for $103 each with 20 off Jcrew card! Expensive but I been wanting this sweater form last year! Pants are my go to! Love cashmere pants. Also online picked up Wide-leg sweatpant in featherweight cashmere
DeleteItem AU627 in INK NAVY. Both card love and 15% coupon worked. They were about $95. Keep you all posted! Hope every one is well
Kate, when I walked in the store today and saw the pants I thought of you. Glad you got them, wonder if we were there at the same time.
DeleteThanks Suz Has… you know l love cashmere pants. I also bought mens navy cashmere joggers for home they are great. No pilling. Xs fit great!
DeleteI am in search for the track jacket to match the track pants. Prices are much better in store it seems. Not in rush since everything is super expensive.
I did not go to store! They were so nice. In 5 min they found both things and shipped to me free overnight! I should have it tomorrow! Idk about the pants but hopefully sweater is a good buy!!!
@Kate, check with NorthPark Center. They had jackets in store. I'm not sure about sizing.
DeleteThanks so much! Will give them a call!
DeleteAlso, I been visiting the Facebook page. I don’t have Facebook myself but my daughter lets me use hers … Maya… so been keeping up a bit.
I been exhausted with current pandemic, everyone is sick and I been covering a lot. Todays shopping was plain old therapy to make me feel less sorry for my self as I worked all Christmas… lol … not that I needed to spend $300😩😂😂
So sorry you’re dealing with this going on two years already. You deserve whatever you got! I’m glad I’ve been able to support the store even just a little. Before this week I don’t think I bought anything in store since the fall.
DeleteI love the Teddie sherpa half-zip sweatshirt
ReplyDelete(Item: BD696). I ordered two sizes and kept the larger one. The smaller one would have worked too but I liked the way the neck opening laid better in the larger size. It was roomy in both sizes. Very cute.
I ordered the Montauk belt bag too and I'm on the fence about it. Has anyone tried them?
I tried and did not like the Colorblock sweater-hoodie
(Item BE157). I didn't like the combination of the sweater ribbing with the other fabric (boucle?) and I didn't like the color of the sweater ribbing. I don't know... it didn't work for me, but it looks really cute on the models. Maybe I'll try it on one more time before I send it back just to make sure.
