Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I was just able to use FRIDAY to get the black and the navy cotton pencil skirt for $14.70 each. Absolutely unbelievable deal if anyone else has been wanting one of these. I assume this is just a magic hour overlap, so hopefully someone else is able to take advantage. Haven't bought these for a couple of years, so fingers crossed that they still fit me as well as they used to.

    1. Moi aussi ☺. I finally got the white denim shift dress at over 80% off and hope it lives up to the stellar reviews. I'm finally finding desirable pieces at JC again and that makes me happy.

    2. I looked at the denim dress and passed due to length. I need at least 37" to feel comfortable...if only there was a tall version I'd have gone for it. I did pick up a few items, since they are not final sale: denim pencil skirt, cropped rollneck sweater, liberty trumpet skirt, tie waist button up sleeveless top, pj's for my stepdaughter, and a wild card - the button up romper. It could be horrid, or cute, depending. And a pair of shorts and a short sleeve shirt for my husband. With an extra 15% I had the whole lot was under $100. The only thing I feel is a sure bet are the pj's, navy with red&white stars. I have the same pair from last year navy with white polka dots. Glad to have for a quick gift.

    3. I had the romper in my cart but took it out. I can't wait to hear what you think!

    4. I'll report on the romper. Not too hopeful, but you never know.
Just for fun I added up the items I bought last night and with the discount now it's $307 instead of the $98 I paid.

  2. I bought the button front denim skirt & a pair of dreamy pjs for $14.70 each πŸ˜€
When I tried to go back & buy more the site crashed on me😬

    1. They’ve been jerking prices around so much lately, it’s ridiculous. The end result for me isn’t to pay more, it’s to buy less. I haven’t placed an order in a few months now because every time I decide to purchase something they jack up the price.

  4. I’m so confused! I also bought a couple of things extremely cheaply in the wee hours (dreamy joggers, girls leggings, shorts) that are now back to full price. Was it just a mistake?

  5. I bought the two hats that were on sale during the magic hour.

  6. I picked up SZ Blockprints top and high waist bottom in water lily (hoping I can pair with tiered maxi dress in same print for beach vacation), linen sail sweater and repurchased beach tunic in cotton poplin (it was even more of a deal). Less than $50 for all of it and today the beach tunic is $49.

    1. Holy cow, that’s fantastic! I hope it all works out for you, I can’t see why it wouldn’t.

    2. That’s insanely good! Please let me know how the high waist bottom works out - I’ve been eyeing but concerned about lack of butt coverage

  7. I'm hoping for a massive swim sale sometime in the next couple of weeks. I do not need ultra low prices to bite but better then 30% off. J Crew swim is overpriced in my opinion.

Cargo pants and straight leg chinos.
There will be a pointy toe chunky heel
Pump and camera bag and zip top tote.
Lots of new colors in cashmere (saw a leopard one with brown/pink spots).

    1. Who is the head designer now? Chris Benz? What happened to the woman from Anthropologie?

    2. Were those strong colors like neon and Disney colors? Or rich and jewel colors? Glad menswear inspired looks are coming back.

    3. Are the doing a collaboration with Jenna? Just kidding.

    4. OOOOOH I love toile!! Any details?

    5. Rewatched the video but no closeup of the toile, sorry

    6. Keeping my fingers crossed for the bold prints. And the toile!

  9. I think fall/winter is still from the Anthro lady and Chris’s design should be out for spring. Not sure when excactly though. @ST
@Natalya from what i saw in the short video it was mostly raspberry pink, bright pink, mustard and a dark blue-green. But there were also light pinks and blues and other pastels.

    1. Thank you. You are always so helpful. Is Chris replacing the Anthro lady or overseeing the work of the Anthro lady and others?

  10. Do any of our JCA historians know when the Cece flats in Bright Grotto came out? I appreciate any insight!

    1. They were an E8525 Cece, so "Made in Italy" but the 2nd generation of Italian ones, after they were discontinued and re-brought back and then under protest made Italian again. You can tell originals from the 2.0 because originals have a little blob in the top of the back stitching (not a tab above the shoe, that's a JC Factory thing for Anyas), whereas the new ones just have a seam that goes straight up to the very top of the back. Hope that helps! I take my Ceces very seriously, lol.

    2. Thank you, my fellow Cece fan! I am trying to find some 1.0 but the color is so gorgeous I don't know if I can resist it! At least they are made in Italy, which fit better than the 1st 2.0 imported ones. Decisions, decisions!

  11. I went to the store today to make a massive load of returns. I feel like there was very little of the latest rollout in store, so I didn't catch if there was a full-price promo as it was all "old news" for me in that section. Sale was only an extra 30% off. Left empty handed.

  12. Reporting back on this purchases:

J3964 Bead and stone earrings. These are slightly heavy and large but the design manages to be delicate somehow because metal is thin.the colors are fun. I like.

L7582 Point sur scalloped trim top. This fits perfectly but the length is short. I actually wore with the tie waist cotton poplin shorts tonight. I do wish it was a little longer for my long torso but the fit otherwise is very nice. I got XS and prob could have done the S.

L6143 Bristol fanny pack in bright cerise. I like this a lot. I do think the leather is the kind that may peel, but otherwise the bright cerise is as expected. Size. I can fit my iPhone 8 Plus in a Case, small card case wallet (not needed because it has card slots) lip gloss, and small glasses, not in a case, and it closes easily. Putting the strap in the second set of holes makes it function better as a cross body. I wish I got a second one for my daughter, she thought it might be too small.

    1. Glad the bag worked out for you and holds what you need. The bright color is fun!

I received the Collection hand-beaded skirt. It is really beautiful and the quality is there. Unfortunately it runs really small. I ordered my larger size 4 and it fits, but not loosely like I prefer. I thought the larger size would be loose and ride down a bit below my waist, giving a little extra length. I'd say the sizing is more 'old school'. Though it is final sale, I was able to do an exchange and will get a 6 as I don't want a Kardashian fit.
Even at 75% off this is a really expensive purchase for me!

    2. I’m so glad they allowed you to exchange. Hope the 6 works.
I’m def hoping to get a bag for each of my girls if they go on sale again. The belt/strap is very long with a lot of holes so we can easily wear it both cross body and around the waist.

    3. I’m surprised they let you exchange the size for FS. I read on FMF reddit that they wouldn’t do it for quite a lot of people.

  13. Why is there no additional % off sale today? I’ve been stalking a Lady jacket in multicolored cobalt & it popped back in my size but it’s too $$$ especially since I’ve seen it at 50% off sale. I’m afraid if I order & addional % off occurs Jcrew won’t give me a price adjustment πŸ˜‚

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They will not give you a price adjustment unless you buy at full (non-sale items) price.

      Delete
    2. I hate this new policy it would be very upsetting to purchase and then additional % off tomorrow & no adjustment
I really appreciated Jcrew’s old policy especially if an item hadn’t shipped

      Delete
    3. Actually, during the recent fireworks promo, they weren’t offering a price adjustment even on full price items. When I went into the store this past weekend my local SA said she’s bearing that over and over - CS refusing to do price adjustments on full price within 7 days. The absolute worst thing they could do.

      Delete
    4. Agreed. I understand it in principle but it’s definitely making me more of a reluctant shopper.

    5. I’ve definitely cut back my shopping since the PA policy is enforced. Now I only buy if I feel like I’d love it no matter the price AND I also don’t immediately wear if i can wait 30 days in case the price changes and I need to rebuy. That has resulted in a big change of thinking for me.
