Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Creaw this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. looks like we were all at home...shopping our closets.
anyone know if the "New way to shop" is going to continue...since no one seems to have gone this weekend,
Roll outs...are they finished and we will get a trickle of new arrival every few days?

  2. I went to Natick, MA store for the last time since they are going out of business. Store did look fully stocked. Zero to buy.

    1. The Natick store is closing?! I am really surprised. That's a huge mall to not have a J. Crew. How did you hear?

  3. Hi Unknown. I also noticed the trickling of new arrivals every few days. I am wondering what the strategy is on that. I used to get very excited about the big reveal of a new rollout and assume that drove a lot of traffic to their website. Perhaps the thinking now is that if they trickle in new arrivals every few days that will drive more consistent traffic to their website on the theory that we will all be checking on a daily basis to to see what is new. I am also wondering whether the "new way to shop" is going to be a permanent feature. It seems to me like a direct response to the likes of GAP et al that seem to run an almost continuous 40% off sale.

    2. yes. Nothing against the GAP but I always thought of Jcrew as a bit more elevated than that. Makes me sad.

  4. I was thinking about stopping in today but now I'm running out of time.
Another few storms on the horizon here, plus I've been nesting/hibernating most of the winter working on house projects. I finally wore my Madewell 9" black coated jeans out of the house for the first time last night. As much as I can't wait to wear Spring clothes it's still really cold.
I admit I do really want to try the pleated chambray pants although the elastic waist band does give them a matronly feel. Hoping my store carries them so I can just try them there.

  5. I haven’t been to the store in a while. No shop February and now March continues. I will need to use rewards before the end of April but am hoping for extra percent off sale again.

  6. So I stopped in and finally found the chambray pants. While I was going in I also tried the wide leg crop pant in 365 crepe.
I found the crepe pants fit well. My smaller size worked but my usual pant size didn't feel too big. I might actually try these in a Tall to see if the rise is a little longer. They were nicely drapey.
The chambray pants on the other hand were too stiff. They seemed to run a little smaller although the fabric would probably loosen up with wear. They stuck away from my body too much.

Really nothing else of interest. I didn't see any of the new shoes I liked online. There was a cute diver or swimmer tee shirt but not a need.

  7. Stopped today to pick up Miel cashmere sweater. Fit is tts & it will layer well. Current promo ends 3/22 per SA. Hopefully Easter sale will include extra % off sale like last year. Ordered a few sale popbacks with this in mind. Fingers crossed for a PA.
