J.Crew Email: We've added new styles to our sale

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following email from J.Crew this morning.

Today is the last day J.Crew is offering customers to take an additional 30% off all Final Sale items (no min) with promo code MUSTHAVE. J.Crew also added some new items to the sale section.

Final sale is definitely a major deterrent. However, some prices are too good to pass up. What to do... ;)

Will you be checking out the Final Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. I am done as of yesterday. I did notice the new price cuts this morning. I put what I could see at the top of this post.

    1. gigi, thanks so much for the post! I was wondering if you know if the viv printed flats are marked even lower in store? Thanks!

  2. I'm shopped out. I have things hanging in my closet with tags still on them that I need to make outfits with!

    1. Same here! And I can't wear a lot of them until the weather cools down... but I have so many cute ideas for Fall that need to be put into action, ha ha.

  3. Has anyone seen the Ella Dress in Garden Floral - size 4 in their store?

    TIA!

    1. I think I saw one at the Reston, va store yesterday afternoon. 39.99 before 30pct off. Worth giving them a call!

    2. I think I saw a bunch at the University Village store in Seattle. It was before the weekend though, so I don't know if they are still there. It's worth a shot though if Reston doesn't work out!

    3. About a week ago there were 4 of them in that size in Portland, OR, the Pioneer Place store. Didn't go this weekend though.

  4. I have to RAVE about J. Crew's customer service today. I have purchased 9 things this month. Today, I noticed that 4 out of the 9 were either marked down from full price to sale + 30% off, or were purchased on sale and now were cut to an even lower sale price. I have not worn any of the items, so I could have returned and re-ordered. I used the chat feature and the customer service rep agreed to price adjust all of them, saving me more than $160! I am quite thrilled (so much so that my initial annoyance at purchasing the items at a higher price was completely absolved). I didn't even have to beg and the representative was extremely gracious and helpful.

  5. I'm going to try this here... has anyone tried the Kimono Sleeve Striped Dress? I love the look but would like to read just one review of it before I take the FS leap.

    fwiw, I'm 6' and slim.

    Thanks.

    1. Marisa, I would also love a review of the kimono dress. I have wanted it since it came out but no one has said a peep about it. I am worried about how low cut it is, and how short... I am tall, too!

    2. Hi ladies. I ordered the Kimono Sleeve dress a few weeks ago, and was disappointed with the fit. I ordered a small, and the top was too big and the length too short. I'm 5' 8" and normally wear a size 4 at J Crew. I was super excited for this one, but sadly it was a return.

  6. Marisa....I asked about the Kimono sleeve maxi dress a couple of days ago and didn't get any responses. It looks so cute, but it's so hard to tell until you try it on. Hope someone here has tried it and can give us a report!

  7. Hi-

Has anyone tried the sequin jacket (the white one on sale)? I couldn't decide between a 0 and 00, but went with the 0 so that I can wear a jean shirt under it (as pictured)....I am hoping it is not too boxy.

Random rant: I hate the 00/0! It can be such a subtle distinction in some cases, but then on other cases (dresses) it makes a huge difference.

    1. Jamie, I haven't tried it but I think you were smart to go w/0 as this cut seems to run on the fitted side. And if you want a jean shirt under...

While you wait for your order you can see it on Atlantic Pacific.

    2. Thank you! You are wonderful.

I am by no means petite (5'7) so I think the length of the 0 will work better in terms of hitting me in the right place. I am so excited to get it!

    3. Jamie: Here are the measurements from CS for the jacket-

Size 00 measures 33.5 inches in the bust, 14.25 inches across the shoulders, and 32 inches for the sweep.

Size 0 measures 34.5 inches in the bust, 14.5 inches across the shoulders, and 33 inches for the sweep.

Size 2 measures 35.5 inches in the bust, 14.75 inches across the shoulder, and 34 inches for the sweep

    1. Anthro Blogger - I didn't think to ask when I was in the store today. Curious to see if it will continue. There is still quite a bit of stock in some stores.

  9. Hi everyone!

I made two online orders and I'm considering a third. Yikes!!! I really want the sequin jacket. I probably wouldn't get that much use out of it, but I just love it. Anyone tried it?

On a side note: I'm a new blogger but have been reading and loving this blog and the comments here for a while now. Glad to finally post something, I love this JCA community:)

Anywho, once I get my orders, I will post some outfits. Until then, you can see how I styled the fresco floral capri here:

  10. Like others, I'm done. I found some good deals and have had enough. Time to finish cleaning out my closet of the old stuff that I have of course already replaced :P

  11. There is nothing that I 'MUST HAVE' this time around. I got the striped popover in the store yesterday and the Margate satchel in cedar plank last week, so I'm done (for now).

  12. I got a few items. I scored possibly the last pair of Navy Valentina's out there in my size at the store price, woot!! Also got the Navy tiered dot tank and the mini Brompton Hobo in gold. Great price on the bag. Even though it's FS, it's a purse, so no worries about sizing, lol.

  13. ugh - I just placed a second order today. I'm done! no more!!!

  14. @ blakemdjohns: You are awesome. I had placed an online order for 3 items on July 4th and they arrived today. The items are now available at 30% off, so I called and CS adjusted the price for me without making me return and re-purchase. My thanks to you for sharing your tip, to Alexis for running this blog where smart people like to comment, and to J.Crew CS for being so very accommodating!

Also, I really love the Naomi Top. I hope they make more pretty colors for Fall.

  15. I ordered twice with the 30% off- the seersucker capris that likely cost them $15 to make are no longer $100.....Today I ordered the Polly popover in silk-screen dot- I couldn't find too many reviews but stripes and polka dots get me every time.

  16. If anyone sees the Raindrop Lace blouse in a size 4 in the nude color please email me at nestsweetie at gmail.

    Thank you!

  17. I placed a 30% off order from the red phone last week prior to final sale starting back up, so I haven't been tempted to place another one with the latest online promo.

Also, I have all the Promo-priced items (they receive the extra discount, but are not final sale) for both the Women and Men on my blog.

  18. I am done too, I've bought too much lately but these prices have been too tempting. I've stuck to my wishlist but it was pretty big. :)

For this sale, I did order some chino shorts, a patent belt, a swimsuit and soludos. Too bad swimsuits on sale are final sale now, I guess the free returns won't apply to any sale swimsuits now that final sale is back.

  19. I got the silk colorblock blouse and it was definitely worth it. (I've made mistakes on final sale before, but not this time!) I originally purchased it at 49.99, but it's been further marked down to 39.99. Check out my review at my blog here: Chic Michele.

  20. I got the Talitha in belvedere red, I love the wreath one so much that I had to have another one and I thought that the red one would make a nice holiday blouse. Never seen the color IRL though so it was a bit of a risk. Added a fp swimsuit top that I wanted to try anyway to get free shipping.

  21. In case you don't see my comment on the older post, I just wanted to thank STRAYCAT for posting locations with the sequin anchor tank. I was able to find my size at one of the stores you listed and it's on it's way to me right now. Thanks again Straycat!!!

  22. Shopped out :)

Waiting for some new arrivals and looking forward to putting together some outfits for cooler temps!

  23. I finally gave in and got the Thea dress. I do wish red had been in stock but we'll see about the 'gallery green.'

    1. Kholá, red wasn't red-red. It has a lot of brown in it or a faded look. It read more as a transitional fall color in comparison to the brights we're seeing this summer. I'll bet gallery green is pretty.

  24. Hello Ladies!

Just wondering if any one has seen the sequin anchor tank in a small or medium in their stores. Unfortunately, the stores straycat had posted no longer had my size. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

  25. Also bit on the sequin jacket! Seems like J Crew always puts out new styles to their sale section on the last day...probably to reel in suckers like me!

  28. I'm crewed out. The last thing I would have been interested in was the tiered dot tank, and the two b&m closest to me were out in my size. Lacking the energy to even call the 3rd b&m.

  29. boo... i missed it! any chance we think another sale is coming around the bend?

  30. I ended up ordering the kimono sleeve dress because, as Slastena (who also ordered it) pointed out, it doesn't ring up as FS. I ordered an XS and should have it be the weeek's end.

  31. Is 30% off still going on in stores?

Does anyone know if the classic pave bracelet or necklace are on sale in stores?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not sure how much longer the 30% sale will be in the stores but if you are in the MD/DC/VA area, the Bethesda store has 2 FULL walls of sale items(and a decent mini-crew selection)...and I was very shocked to see the nice selection of larger sizes. Good deals to be had IF you are still looking. Good luck!

  33. Has anybody seen the Gondola Stripe Skirt in a size 0 lingering? I know it's been on sale forever but I just decided I would like to have it! Email is bankygirl (at) gmail. If you do see it and can put it on hold for me, I would really appreciate it!

  34. OT: There was a significant update to the sale section this morning. There are also some newly added Promo-priced items, and some sale items received additional markdowns, too (Schoolboy blazer in eyelet, swiss dot dress, and a few others). I've updated the women's Promo-priced items list and will have the men's list updated in just a little bit.

The women's updated list is here.
