Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

J.Crew Celebrates Valentine's Day with Extra 15% Off Online {plus 30% off sale in stores}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including amh783 & MissJR (in this post), who let us know the following news:

J.Crew (via their Facebook page) is offering an additional 15% off all orders (no min!) online with promo code HEART. This offer is good for today only (expires February 14, 2013).

What an unexpected treat from our favorite retailer! I did not expect to see another promotion being offered today (since the current STYLE30 is still running). This offer is especially sweet for new arrivals. Thank you J.Crew!

There's more! "Thanks!" to many of you, including Joy (in this post), who let us know the following news: it looks like the additional 30% off Final Sale items is now being extended in brick & mortar (B&M) stores too.

J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals! {maybe?}

It looks like J.Crew had a {small} update to its website (click here to view online). (I could not tell at first. I had to compare the current screen to its predecessor in the last post, where there is a small difference. Honestly, I am not even 100% sure there is enough new merchandise to say there is an update in new arrivals. ;) What do you all think?)

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here). The latest catalog (click here to view) is available to view on J.Crew's website. 

There is a nice feature on the website that showcases the Spring 2013 Shoe Collection (click here). There are a lot of drool-worthy eye candy. I am personally in love with all the variations of the Janey Flats, like the Collection Janey Jeweled Bow Snakeskin Flats (item 01081; $375.00).

Plus, J.Crew has a tiny update to their Final Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Some merchandise increase for everyone (a jump from 615+ to 670+ for Women and 220+ for Men). Frankly, it was not worth the wait. Hopefully, tomorrow morning will be a better update. :)

Happy Valentine's Day! {celebrating w/ J.Crew?}

I know I have mentioned this before, but I l-o-v-e these posts. It is really interesting to hear what other Aficionadas and Aficionados plan on wearing, since it gives me lots of wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear on Valentine's Day? :)

My outfit for today will focus on the Heart Me Sweater (Item 54949; $88.00) from J.Crew. It is such a cute sweater and today is the perfect day to wear it! The other J.Crew items I will be wearing include the Perfect Shirt in Gingham Flannel in Smoky Coral (item 24801; $78.00); Janey Patent Flats in Apricot Mist (item 98428; $178.00); Heart Bracelet (item 47884; $78.00); and the Candy Shop Necklace in Vibrant Fuchsia (item 27801;  $195.00).

JGIC Product Review: Come on J.Crew where is it?

A big "thanks!" to J.Crew Guy In Canada who is graciously reviewing Men's items from J.Crew with us. In this review, he looks at J.Crew's color selection for men:

It all started with a silly idea of getting a new one.  I had a great, soft wool v-neck sweater from Club Monaco in a pale powder blue.  It looked great and I wore it out, literally.  Sadly while it served me well it's gone on to a better place so I need a new one.  So J.Crew where is it?

Checked out cashmere options #85984; yeah there are fourteen different colours, none in that damn powder blue colour.  Looked over at my good friend merino #93735 and it was almost there in faded peri, but too washed out and not quite there.  I even tried cotton-cashmere, but nope not even close.  So how about it J.Crew, can you knit up a nice little v-neck for me in cashmere powder blue?

And while we're at it here are a few more things you need to make for me.  Everyone has or knows of the infamous J.Crew roll neck.  I've had one in a denim blue wool (who knows where that went?) and currently I have a wool one in an athletic grey, but what I really want is a roll neck in merino wool in some good colours, like a dark rich forest green and possibly a dark cream, say oatmeal.  Since you're knitting the cashmere one in powder blue you might as well make the roll neck in merino.

The Ludlow is almost perfect #18615.  But how many charcoal grey pairs does a guy need?  Currently I have three, I think I'm good, but I'd like some more colour options say a darb olive green, or a rich chocolate brown?  Besides most guys have navy and grey and may want a new colour too.

So thanks J.Crew, let me know when you you've finished stitching those up.

J.Crew's Coat of the Season: The Fatigue Jacket {plus a sale update}

J.Crew sent an email this morning for the Charlie Fatigue Jacket (item 47864; $188.00). They describe this piece as the following:

Borrowed from his closet but better. Inspired by our classic men's fatigue jacket, this vintage-style military topper is crafted from durable Japanese twill. Tailored just for her (so you can stop stealing his), it's designed with little extras that his doesn't have—like a stripe jersey lining that's as soft as your favorite tee and a waist-cinching adjustable drawcord. Fits true to size. Cotton. Body length: 34 3/4". Sleeve length: 33 3/4". Hits below hip.   Hooded. Snap closure. Flap patch pockets. Lined. Machine wash.

I have to say, this coat looks pretty awesome. Yeah, it is a casual piece for the wardrobe. However, I love that it is lined with a striped jersey material. Plus, I am a big fan of hooded coats. I find not enough coats come with this feature (that can protect your hairstyle from a light sprinkle or your neck from a brief windchill). I can't wait to see and try this one on at my local B&M store.
