J.Crew Email: FREE SHIPPING. 3 days only. Shop now.

"Thanks!" to many of you, including GigiOfCa (in this post), Desert Flower, Marietta, Ketan, & GoldCoastGal, who shared with us the latest email from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew is offering customers free shipping on $150+ with promo code VACATION. This offer expires 7/21/10.

Also "thanks!" to many of you who have been reporting back from trips to your local brick & mortar (B&M) stores. From the comments, it sounds like stores are still offering customers an additional 30% off Final Sale (which is fantastic!) Not sure how long it will last though.

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Are there any sale items you are interested in getting before the promo ends?

Side Note: I just wanted to give a "shout-out" to all the incredible JCAs who have sent me emails with attachments of J.Crew spottings in magazines, look books, sneak peeks, etc. If you haven't heard from me yet it's because I am a bit back-logged. I am slowly working my way through all the emails and trying to catch-up to post the latest. Rest assured, I will post them all. More importantly, you guys are the best. This is why I love our little community- because it rocks! :)

The Great (Weekly) Exchange {looking to sell}

This post (of weekly posts) is for individual members who want to swap/sell/share among yourselves. This post is where you can mention your items and outside listing/ auction site (like eBay and eCrater & the corresponding user ID).

Please note: this posting is not for resellers. If you are a reseller, your comment gets automatically deleted & you will get publicly called out on it. :( So instead of this, simply do not post in the Weekly Exchanges. Thanks in advance for your cooperation! :)

Please note that any transactions are independent of this blog. (Especially since you will be using an outside listing/ auction site like eBay or eCrater.) I have no dealings or interactions with any of the potential communication, listings, or transactions. :) Moreover, please limit comments about items to swap/sell/share to the "Great (Weekly) Exchange" posts. (Refer to "A Quick Note to J.Crew Aficionadas" post.)

Do you have any items you would like to swap/sell/share among yourselves through your outside listing/auction site?

Sidenote: What's up with JCAs writing "sub" or "subscribing" as their comment? It just means they are subscribing to all the comments (which are then automatically sent to their email) in that particular thread. This way they can stay aware of all the comments posted. :)

The Great (Weekly) Exchange {looking to find}

This post (of weekly posts) is for individual members who are looking for and interested in buying certain items. Please feel free to share a J.Crew store location and/or your outside listing/ auction site if it matches the requests made in this post.

Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING & SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

Sneak Peek: What's to Come for Fall {& hopefully later this week!}

A big "thanks!" to Slastena (check out her "Early Fall Preview- Some Pretties.." post from her {amazing} About All and Nothing at All blog) who shared some more sneak peeks with us. {yey!} There is a little something for everyone in this batch of photos! Just click on any of the images to view them larger.
Word among the JCAs is that new arrivals are expected to hit brick & mortar (B&M) stores and online this week. Can't wait! :)

What are your thoughts? Has your opinion on the upcoming Fall line changed? Are you looking forward to the new arrivals from J.Crew?

J.Crew Email: Mad about Minnie

"Thanks!" to xoxo, Ketan, as well as Corry (in this post), who shared another product email J.Crew sent today. It makes you wonder what the criteria are for some of us to get one email (the cardigan), while the rest get another (the pants)...

The email features the Stretch Twill Minnie Pant (Item 18850; $79.50, select colors now $49.99) which is described as:
If you buy one pant this season, make it Minnie. She's chic and slim-fitting (thanks to a flattering two-way stretch fabric) with a vintage-inspired cropped leg that we love.
First, happy to see they are still priced at $79.50 (& not $89.50 like in January of this year). Second, the Minnie is clearly not going anywhere. This is J.Crew's new classic wardrobe staple.

What are your thoughts on the Stretch Twill Minnie Pant? Do you like or dislike the style of the cropped leg pants? :)

J.Crew Email: Chic hits the beach

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Marisa, Irina, Desert Flower & Marietta, who shared with us the latest email from J.Crew. (I am surprised it wasn't a Crewcuts email!)

The email promotes J.Crew's sweaters for Women (click here to shop online) which totally makes sense to do in the Summertime. I kid, I kid. ;) Actually I use cardigans all the time in the Summer, because the stores & restaurants blast their AC so high that its freezing cold inside.

It also features the Shawl-Collar Côte Cardigan (Item 27770; $118.00). This cardigan is described as:
The quintessential comfy-chic beach sweater—made of chunky cotton, it's long and oversized with a shawl collar, raglan sleeves, high-ribbed trim detail at the cuff and hem and tilted welt pockets (just for fun). We're wearing ours over short, flirty dresses to play with proportion. V-neck. Long sleeves. Hits below hip. Import. Machine wash.
The cardigan is cute. I love the look of a shawl collar. It tends to frame the face and neck beautifully.

However, I can't seem to get over those short shorts in the email's image! Are those legitimately shorts or bathing bottoms? Sure enough, they are the Heathered Cotton Boy Short (Item 27765; $54.00). The model doesn't look like she is going to the beach (honestly, who brings a gorgeous leather bag like that to the beach? You don't. You bring a cute straw or canvas tote that can get wet & sandy). I can see where J.Crew is going with the trend though. So I am going to be uber-trendy and bypass the Boy Swim Shorts. Instead, I will go straight to wearing just my Spanx undergarments with my polo tees and cardigans. ;)

What are your thoughts on the Shawl-Collar Côte Cardigan? Have you tried on or purchased it? If so, please share! :)

Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING & SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

J.Crew Email: A chic peek, just for Cardmembers

"Thanks!" to many of you, including AnneG, Rosa, Jennifer, Marietta, Wille, Irina, Desert Flower, & Danielle, who shared with us the latest email from J.Crew to its card members.

The email above features the not-yet-officially-released-online the Velvet Ruby Jacket (Item 29018; $168.00). J.Crew describes this velvet jacket as:
Our blazer meets cardigan—elegantly deconstructed and drapey, in buttery panne velvet with sheer blended silk georgette lining and trim for a modern mix of textures and vibes. The finishing touch? A removable grosgrain belt for waist definition and added dimension. Rayon/silk. Lapel collar. Hook-and-bar closure. Long sleeves. Welt pockets with flaps. Fully lined. Hits at hip. Import. Dry clean. Catalog/jcrew.com only.
This jacket looks cute in the email above (both the image of the jacket alone & in the catalog image). Yet, it doesn't look that good in the image from the website. The website's image shows the jacket looking a bit short too. But that might be the way it was styled (with the very long button down). I got to see it in-person for final judgment.

On another note, this email (with a sneak peek to the August catalog) means that new arrivals and a new August catalog are just around the corner! :) Although, doesn't it feel like the last roll-out (in July) was just a short time ago?

What are your thoughts on the Velvet Ruby Jacket ? Do you like the style- from the shape to the ribbon?

Quick Poll: What are your thoughts on the Ruby Jacket?
