  1. Not a vent. Sharing a great list of investment brands from a stylist my colleague has worked with - J Crew and Madewell both on her list for basics.

    1. Hi ruffles, thank you for posting this! An interesting read and a great resource. I find work pants are hard to find, there are quite a few ideas in here.

    2. Thanks, Ruffles.
Sometimes it seems like if I can't find it at J. Crew or Boden, I do without. Some names on this list I don't know, so will check them out.

    3. Happy to share! Jan, I agree about work pants. I have tried on Akris punto and the quality is exquisite. The fabric, the tailoring, the finish. Good to educate myself. I have had good luck with Theory for pants - good fit w both my budget and desire to buy less/better.

    4. Thanks for the link ruffles. I love theory too. Invested in their blazers and work pants. I agree good value for your money, especially on sale.

    5. @ruffles, I will keep an eye out for the Akris punto, thank you. I agree with trying to buy better/less. I’m trying to do that too so I stop wasting money on sale items.

    1. WFF, Sadly not surprised. FYI, a little product news on that Tacky cashmere sweater. It’s not the last. Company is coming out with more on the Pre Autumn launch. Hope they’re not the killing the featherweight line. That’s what the stylists are concerned about.

  4. Just noticed this sale ends July 5th. That's a long time for high prices and final sale.

    1. I had checked on Monday and noticed that too. I can only guess more things will be added and maybe there will be an additional percentage off for cardholders. That’s my guess. (Wishful thinking).

  5. Slightly OT but has anyone tried any of the solid Jcrew or Everlane bikini bottoms? I went through my suits and can use a new black bottom that’s not a super low bikini or a boy shirt. I feel like some of the briefs are too much material and would look matronly on me and some show too much cheek which I also don’t like.
I think I have the surf hipster bottom which is ok but I’d like something a little higher. It’s so hard to tell from pics.

    1. Well I decided to try the everlane bottoms and two of their tops. I don’t know that they will be right but they seem to sell out quickly.

    2. Suz, my black barrel pant shipped and should get here by Monday.
I usually wear surf shorts at the beach since I love to body surf the waves. I buy mine from Patagonia or rei.

    3. Kikigirl, thank you for that info! I was looking at lululemon running shorts (because I have a credit) but will check the more “outdoor” places like you mentioned. My husband wants to kayak and hike etc and I will need the right gear for my “lake capsule”. 😆 not sure my tretorn mesh sneakers will be appropriate! 😆

    4. @Suz I haven’t had luck with JCrew bottoms for years as on me I find them too cheeky but that could just be me. I actually had the best luck with Gap hipster bikini bottoms. They weren’t too low or high and had more coverage on the bottom. I bought navy a couple of years ago and they match my JCrew top well enough. I’m still on a quest to find more or others.

    5. I was remembering someone mentioned gap or old navy. I couldn’t remember. I bet it was you who mentioned Gap last year. (Or two years ago, who remembers!) if needed I’ll check there too.

    6. Suz, I looked up my surf shorts. I have the brand Carve designs from rei, Patagonia and ll bean. All have a liner inside to avoid wardrobe malfunctions, that has happened to me quite often in the past. 🙈

  6. Not a vent! Retail is doing extra 50% off sale also. Clearance prices were significantly lower in some cases compared to the online price. A few pieces were redline priced and were steals! Check your store if you have a local one still before you order online to make sure you are getting the best price!

  7. My name is Thomas White, from United states, i have been Herpes positive and it is just like been through hell; well special thanks to God almighty for using Dr Twaha, the greatest Herbal doctor in curing my herpes disease. I was diagnosed of this disease in the year 2004. Although I was taking my medications I was not myself. Until a few weeks ago. My friend came to me and told me that he saw many testimonies on how Dr. Twaha  cured people Herpes disease. Although I never believe in herbs, I said to myself "seeing is believing" I took his name and searched it on GOOGLE, I saw many testimonies myself. Quickly, I copied his email: drlregbeyen10000@gmail.com I emailed him, he gave me a form to fill which I did, then he sent me a message  and told me that he required some items in which he will use in preparing the cure for me and he told me that it will cost me some money which i sent to him because I need the cure urgent,  He bought the items and prepared a cure for me, then he sent the parcel to me through courier delivery service. I paid the courier services, I got my parcel, it was a bottle of ointment as described by Dr,Twaha After taking the ointment he told me to do, the herpes test and the result came out negative. Quickly I messaged him and told him what happened he congratulated me. I promised to tell the world about him. You can contact him with any problem  via email: ( drlregbeyen10000@gmail.com ) or contact him on WhatsApp +2349038518881 thank you Dr Twaha
