Become a Fan of J.Crew's Facebook Page {part 4}

As mentioned in earlier posts (refer here, here and here), J.Crew is offering free shipping for becoming a fan -or- are an existing fan of J.Crew's Facebook page (click here). On J.Crew's wall, J.Crew is offering free shipping (no minimum) with promo code FBFAN. This offer expires 11/1/09. Also, "thanks!" to AppGal (in this post) who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping (no minimum) with promo code LOVEJCREW too. This offer expires 11/2/09. {wahoo!}

Sadly, I did not use either of the previous free shipping codes. I also doubt I will be taking advantage of this code. I am actually bummed about not using these codes. There is still nothing I am interesting in getting right now. Of course, once these codes run out, I am sure I will find something I want to get. ;)

Did you take advantage of the previous offers? Are you planning to take advantage of this current offer? If so, what items are you planning to get?

  1. Haven't used the code and there is nothing in my cart! This is a first for me and not to mention that I have a nice size rewards card to burn and a gift card!! My SA did tell me that there would be new arrivals next week.

  2. Well, I get all kinds of invites on my FB wall from J Crew but never saw this shipping offer. Don't even see it on their facebook page? I don't NEED to use it - because like TWIGA said, there isn't anything in my cart. I'm only shopping when there is 20% off or sale prices.

  3. ditto to the above comments. I signed up for it on facebook, but recieved nothing.

  4. I'm so bummed that the one time that we have a no minimum shipping code there isn't really anything that I really want. It has to do with (lack of) sale update. However I pulled the trigger yesterday on the cotton-embroided piazza dress in sea green. That color was sold-out in my size during the last 20% promo, so I took advantage of the no minimum free shipping (and anyway 20% off $29.99 doesn't make a big difference)

  5. Same here. I haven't used any of the no minimum FS code since the sale section is so sad looking. I'm sure once the codes are gone I'll see something pop back.

  6. I haven't bought anything in a month! First time that has happened in at least two years. I hope they come out with some cute things next week. I agree with others that the November catalog was the worst in a few years.

  7. I used these but am returning what I got. Not impressed or in love with the items I got nor the quality. Sad:(

  8. I did pick up some grosgrain ribbon shirts (had been waiting for them to go on sale) but other than that, I'm waiting. I have quite a few J.Crew GCs from my birthday, but I'm waiting for some sort of discount. I remember last holiday season, they offered a tiered discount at $100, $150, and $175 I think, free shipping included. I made out like a bandit.

  9. I won't be using this code, but I love the idea of FS with no minimum! Maybe this is a sign of more codes like this??? That would be great! I wish JC would change their shipping costs - it's not much fun to tack on an extra $18 just to have your stuff mailed!

  10. I used the JCADDICT code on thursday but like everyone had already mentioned there isn't much in the sales but I managed to find a couple of things to try. If i don't like them I'll be returning them : /

  11. I used Addict a couple of times for a couple of fp items. When I had fs for updating my acct I only used it once. There has not been much to get excited about, and when the package arrives there is a 50/50 chance of it going back because the item(s) did not meet expectations.

  12. I did use the FBFAN code for the avocado patent belt and the sparkling rose tee. But I am returning the rose tee because there are a ton of loose threads in the bead/sequin design. I am pretty disappointed with the quality of the JC art tees. I will also be returning another art tee, the black crest tee. I gently hand-washed it and the metallic paint came off of the sequins! I guess I should stay away from sequins and beads! Oh, my third return is a hole in the Tivoli boiled wool cardigan.

  13. I have 10 items going back from 3 different orders due to defects or just poor quality/thin material. So not too excited about this promo. There were so many times I was just wanting a free shipping no minimum code and now there is nothing much I want and what I thought I wanted wasn't very nice after all! I dislike the hassle of so many returns.

  14. Sara, so, other than the hole (!) how was the Tivoli boiled wool cardigan? I'm curious about it but it's not a "gotta have". Did you like it at all?

  15. Laura, re: the Tivoli boiled wool cardigan.

    It is in my returns stack. IMO it is bulky and nubby in a bad way. IRL it looks cheap, not JCrew quality (sorry, previous quality)it's channeling Old Navy.

  16. Laura: The Tivoli cardigan is great. I plan to exchange the defective one for a new one. I bought the amber/grey one first and loved it and later bought the black one (with hole). It is warm, not itchy and I like the long length. I have broad shoulders and usually buy medium in JC, but for this cardigan a small fit fine. Of course, it is lambswool and does pill.

  17. I used the code today to buy a pair of tights. I love free shipping with no minimum.

  18. I really wanted to use the code to try out jc's black leggings, but apparently they sold out! Were they THAT great? Did anyone get them and like them?

    With the earlier codes, I bought the Deco patent belt in all 3 colors (avocado, stone, and black). If they're still available, they are definitely worth using the code for.

  19. Free shipping codes are incredibly good at making me buy; but as much as I tried and searched the site I came up dry. It's kind of sad when you really want to buy something and there's nothing there.

  20. Seems as though they've changed the code yet again! I just checked the FB fan page, and now the code is LOVEJCREW. Would love for them to update the sale section so some of us can actually use it...[ahem]

  21. Normally a free ship no minimum compels me to buy. But nothing at the Crew has inspired me in quite some time. It's all starting to look the same and blend together.

  22. To be honest my first reaction was "great, no updates to the sale section for two more days." So sad that I'm disappointed in free shipping codes because I know it means nothing I want to buy.

  23. Thanks for the new code...got the evening primrose sweater in this morning's update, and saved $8.50 in shipping. You guys are great!

  24. I just check the supposed update and still nothing!
