This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
Sorry for the double post, but in case anyone missed it, I just put the March 2008 catalog up on The J. Crew Archives. I'm currently working on the April 2008 one, which should be up in a day or two, so keep checking back!

I reviewed some summer sale items here:

and will have a second post (because I went today again, so addicted it's not even funny) a little later.
Lots of sale items at Barton Creek Square, Austin. Bought the Audra patent flat sandals in bright Dahlia for $49.99 and they are still $78 online.
ReplyDeletei found the pencil skirt in that cool watercolor print...only 1 left and in my size for $29.99.

The J Crew at Copley Place in Boston had A LOT of sale shoes when I visited on Friday; all cheaper than currently on sale online.
ReplyDeleteGot the Tessa top in purple for $35.99 in the Vancouver store. Summerlight terry pullover in both colours on sale for $24.99.
ReplyDeleteI went to make a return and left with the Lucille dress in scalloped eyelet (brilliant purple). It was $89.00. Not a huge deal but not bad either!
ReplyDeleteNet-A-Porter has further marked some J Crew items down, see this post. Incl the raindrop lace top in apricot mist.
ReplyDeleteGot the Watercolor Floral skirt for $45 and the linen Tippi for $35, and the fresh-to-sale Raj Paisley skirt (lots of smaller sizes in this one at the Yorkdale store). Lots freshly marked down, sale section so, so full that many items with markdowns were still out with the fp merchandise (like the Raj skirt, the Lucille dresses, some of the crochet-front tees).
ReplyDeletehow much was the raj skirt in stores? and what color tippi's were on sale?
DeleteThanks!

DeleteI know this is a little off track but was wondering if anyone could give me any reviews on the "jayne' super 120's suiting dress? thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHi bindi, short review & someirl pics of the Jayne dress in this post.
DeleteI received the Fall/Winter 2012 lookbook today. The are two "possible" pieces but nothing that sets my heart aflutter. More of the same: printed capris (which don't work for me in the winter) and striped/patterned sweaters. I felt the styling was a bit matronly, the "ladies who lunch" look which I am not yet aspiring for. I liked last fall's younger and more preppy pieces/styling better. But that's just my view and it will be interesting to know what others think.
ReplyDeleteHi Marie, I was majorly underwhelmed as well. I was disappointed with the lack of pretty printed skirts and the printed pants don't work well on me. I agree it seemed more geered toward an older customer, which would not necessarily be so bad for me, but NO MORE DAMN SEQUINS! They ruin all the beauties with sequins and charge sky high prices for them. I don't want to look like Liberace! Just my 2cents.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the rant but I was soooo disappointed that the white blazer with red and blue trim was covered in sequins. I had really been hoping to get that one.
ReplyDeleteI am " the older customer" and I don't see anything I would order. Really... like who is going to wear this stuff. P.S. where the heck are the promos these days?

I didn't get to see the preview, but I was able to see the new arrivals and picked up the new catalog. The Tippi sweater now comes in a cardigan--need it! I'm also loving the new color of pencil skirt called golden burgandy. I also love the chambray shirt in polka dot, oh and the Valentina's come in new colors. Wish I would have know about the fall preview, maybe I will go back on Saturday. Oh and I heard 30% in stores starts tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteWhoa, you had me at "Tippi cardigan"! Suddenly my interest in Jackies is gone. I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteI like the fuchsia jacket in look 18 (21920) and the pants in look 16 (15245) but the devil is in the details (and the price!).
Did anyone else hear about the 30%? I wish they would!
ReplyDelete30% off sale started today in stores but its final sale!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the viv bow flats in a big size or the raindrop lace top in neon azalea or navy in a small size?? Thanks so much !
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else seen any items from the new rollout? I'm hankering to know if there are any delicious new colors in the Silk Blythe Blouse. Although I guess since color palettes change with seasonal rollouts, we might not see any until the August rollout.
