JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

Also, please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel free to include links to your blog (where you incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Off topic, but this is a great way to help a good cause: get your fatigue jacket and help a refugee get one for free. The jacket is a two in one and really stylish. Please share on your social media channels

  2. Well I got four pair of pants to try to create my own paint splatter. Sammie chinos in two sizes and the wide leg crop in linen cotton in two sizes.
The Sammie doesn't work for me at all, not loose and not my size. It's one of the least flattering pants I've ever tried. The legs are not bad but crotch up, ugh.
The wide leg crop run small. Both fit but for the look I like I'd want to size up and they went back to 50% off and now they're all gone.
OT but I tried the bell sleeve top in silk and I'm probably the only person I don't like it on.

    1. That's a bummer! What about trying to source a used pair in a fit/style you know works on eBay, etc? Or even ThredUp?

    2. I was thinking of going thrifting for a pair. But, it's not all bad, I tried the look on with pants already in my closet that are not paint splattered, inspired by a JCREW NWFW look from last year, with a long white tuxedo shirt half tucked and it looks great. So maybe I don't paint splatter these. Posted on IG @wearthislikethis.
