Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Wish I could visit J Crew every weekend like I used to; still miss it though it closed two years ago. Saw this in an article in Fortune magazine and wonder if this episode had anything to do with J Crew exiting the local Simon properties:
If you want to get a rise out of David Simon, tell him mall traffic is declining. It’s easy to see why that narrative has taken hold, given that one retail CEO after the next has bemoaned declining mall traffic to explain weak sales. (It’s as popular as blaming the weather or, this fall, the presidential election.) But Simon has been pushing back against retailer kvetching for years. In 2012, at an industry event hosted by retail-focused investment bank Financo, Crew CEO Mickey Drexler complained that the intense smell of popcorn at one mall was keeping customers away from a J.Crew store. “I’ll take all your space back right now,” Simon shot back.

I have to say, Mr. Drexler is 100% right - the stench of popcorn permeates the local mall that J Crew pulled out of. I hate going there now that my favorite store is gone.
