Final Sale at J.Crew & J.Crew Factory

"Thanks!" to many of you, including SewPetiteGal (in this post), who let us know about the following promotion/ emails.

J.Crew sent an email this morning reminding us of their offer to take an additional 30% off Final Sale with promo code STYLE2013. This offer expires Friday, January 4, 2013. They also said new styles have been added. I did not notice an update to the sale section (nor new sale items), but maybe I missed something.

J.Crew Factory is offering customer an additional 15% off Final Sale with promo code NEWYEAR. This offer expires Tuesday, January 8, 2013.

Right now, the sales are not as good as they were before the holidays. Which is surprising. I thought for sure the prices and sales would be better now (especially since you cannot return Final Sale items). But I have a feeling they will be pretty good by the end of the month.

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Any items you are interested in? If so, please share!

  2. Alexis: You are right, there was not an update this morning. After receiving the email I checked the site again just to be sure it wasn't a later one today, but still nothing.

    1. FFM: Thanks for letting me know. :) I thought there wasn't an update until I got the email. Then I was second guessing myself (thinking I missed it or something). ;)

  3. Waste of an email if the sale section wasn't even updated. Sheesh... :P

  4. Off topic, but I just finished uploading the January 2013 Style Guide to The J. Crew Archives, yay! Take a look!

  5. There was definitely no update to the Sale section today. Throw us some fun pop-backs, J. Crew!

  6. I just wanted to mention that net-a-porter has the collection Lucille dress in cheetah brocade on sale for $118.50 (free shipping, not final sale). I snagged the size 12, but when I last looked, sizes 0 - 10 were available.

  7. I just got back from my local store and there was nothing noticeably different about the sale selection. I can't imagine which new styles were added, as I did not see any change.

  8. I went to my B&M today and there was nothing worth buying, even with the 30% off. The only thing that remotely tempted me was a lavender Tippi but even that was looking a bit shopworn. Disappointing, hoping for some new sale items by the end of the month!

  9. I ordered before this code and I called and they applied it to my order! They credited me the difference - great customer service!

  10. I hate final sale because nothing is ever as it seems. Just like my popback matchsticks which ended up being defective. I've been more excited about saks popbacks this past week after getting a kate spade Kimberly dress in a popback for $130, originally $548. That makes my jcrew fs popbacks look lame.

  11. I was determined not to buy any more coats this year, and was doing great.... but today the slim trench in caribbean pink popped back in my size (for $119 after discounts) and the lady day in golden sun dropped in price to $98 after discounts. For $200 total, it was too hard to pass up.

    1. I love the slim trench. I think you will be happy you got it.

    2. Oooh, I hope so -- I saw the pink trench on AJC and Dina and it looks like a non-fad-ish sort of pink that seems to be flattering to most complexions. And the yellow lady day - I like that rich yellow -- I'm Asian so can't wear pale yellow. I have so many JC coats, but they just keep coming out with those great colors. SO hard to resist when the prices are so great!

    3. Its a great color. I had to return mine because they sent me the wrong size and at the time they only had camel in my size, but I miss the caribbean pink.

  12. There was finally an update to the sale section earlier this morning. I noticed some new promo-priced items, as well as markdowns on previous promo items. I have noted them in this post.

  13. I loved the double leopard head necklace in person--I never expected it to disappear from stores of the website so soon. So, when it came up on a popback the other day, I grabbed it, along with the pink Lulu Frost pendant which is on sale online but not in stores.

I'm happy I got both pieces as I will enjoy them.

But a part of me would probably have used this money for something else--so many great shops have sales now (Shopbop, etc) that I might have returned had I been able to. I love JCrew jewelry--it's fun and dressy and immediately makes me feel expressive. But too much of it and I start to feel like a label hog.

I'm interested in a few other things, but unlikely to bite with FS intact.
