J.Crew Factory Email: Layers you'll love: 30% OFF KNITS & TEES (plus, FREE SHIPPING)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Irina, who shared the following news from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew Factory (click here to shop online) is open for the weekend. They are also offering 30% off on select factory knits & tees. (Prices will be automatically marked down, no code required.) Don't forget: free shipping on all Factory items!

As JCAs know... if you live near a Factory Store, check them out first. The B&M Factory Stores tend to have better promotions and sale prices.

What are your thoughts on J.Crew's Factory Fall offerings? Will you check them out?

  1. Thanks for posting this! I have a couple of factory tees and they seem to thicker than some of my regular J.Crew tees.

  2. Agreed. I have washed my slub cotton factory tee many times and it has no holes in it yet.

  4. Any Texans been to the factory store at Grapevine Mills? I'm debating whether or not to even make a trip out there...

  5. Just a heads up, even with the additional 30% off knits and tees, the prices are still considerably higher than they are in the store. I went last weekend and got a couple of tees that were 19.99. Online they are on sale today for 39.99. This whole idea of charging two totally different prices for the exact same item will never make sense to me!!

  6. I concur w/the good bloggers ABC & Rose...the material tends to be thicker/better on J'Crewlet tees than the retail. Take that you painter tees!

  7. Sue.bee: I went to Grapevine Mills yesterday. Almost everything in the store was on sale. Coupled with the 20% off $125 or more coupon there were some great deals. There was a good amount of stock too. Also, as an FYI there was a factory version of the tartan plaid there that isn't online. I guess it is store only.

  8. Thanks for sharing. I'll have to pop over to the factory and see if I can snatch any good deals. I usually do better at the retail stores, but it's always worth a shot.

  9. Factory tees do seem to hold up better, and the Perfect Fit Tee fabric is thicker and I think holds its shape better than Retail.

That has even been true of the embellished tees for me, even though I've only bought a few. I bought the Factory embellished Snowflake Tee last year and it handwashed very nicely, while the Retail version I had before it unraveled after the first wear.

Waiting for a GOOD sale update and a % off ... why has the sale section been so crappy lately with so few significant updates?

  10. I went to my local Crewlet last night and tried on (and ended up buying) the Blackwatch trouser pants. See the post here.

  11. My local crewlet had the forever merino wool sweater on clearance $24.97 plus 30% off plus the coupon for $16.78. May have been past year colors but who can go wrong with black, gray and burnished olive. Also wool merino boyfriend sweater - solid $16.78 - stripe $22.38 with all discounts. At that price who cares if they pill but the ones from last year have held up well.
