J.Crew Email: Love at first sight...

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Ketan, who shared the following email from J.Crew.

The email reminds customers that wedding season will soon be here. And nothing goes better with "I DO!" than a J.Crew wedding & parties dress. To shop online, click here.

The dress is lovely in that image. I love how the ruffles float along the chest.

Happy {bridal} shopping! :)

  1. Oh, I love the J.Crew wedding section! I've got 3 months to go so I'm definitely starting to feel the wedding fever! :)

A friend of mine bought all her bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew...different styles to fit each girl but same color...and it turned out beautifully!

  2. I don't know why they're trying to write in French! They always make mistakes! FETES ACCOMPLIS should be FETES ACCOMPLIES with the "E" because FETE is a feminine word. I am a French citizen living here in the US.

  3. Merci, Maya!

I think they're trying to teach some version of French through J. Crew. Mostly by rhyming faux with other words.

  4. I see that there are several web sites that use "fĂȘtes accomplies" and "fĂȘte accomplie". Did the francophile at J Crew steal the phrase? Or is it more common than I thought? (I do understand that it's a play on fait accompli.) Thanks for your note, maya !
