So, I tried the High-rise '90s classic straight jean in Rinse wash
ReplyDeleteItem BA665. They were....very retro. Thick, substantial cotton, and very comfortable. But they were not flattering, at all. And the "rinse" color was not very modern. I ended up getting the GAP's "girlfriend" jean instead.
I bought the same jeans and felt the same. I’ve been looking for some dark rinse denim but they’re hard to find. I ordered the 9" mid-rise vintage slim-straight jean in resin rinse item K539 but I’m waitlisted and won’t ship until April 21st. I’m hoping these will work out. I’m going to check out the Gap jeans you got.
DeleteI tried the same style but a different wash a few months ago. Two sales assistants told me they tell people to stick with vintage because they think the 90s classic fit is awful. I love their honesty.
DeleteOh well, guess I’m going to have to give up on getting dark rinse jeans this year. The classic style 11” rise is too high for me, I did like the wash. I’ve been thinking about canceling my order since they won’t ship until April 21.
DeleteI've generally had better luck with GAP and uniqlo for dark rinse jeans. My figure and jcrew pants don't mesh.
DeleteFlower Power everlane has had some dark rinse jeans. I passed along the super straight to my daughter but those were a perfect dark wash with long hem. I’m sure they have some others now if those are unavailable. I believe they are offering 20 percent off denim. I also love love love my current favorite G-Star Raw. I have a pair in dark rinse from there as well but haven’t tried a more typical straight Jean from them (because I don’t love that cut on myself.)
DeleteReview of the Nordic low hikers. BF749
ReplyDeleteI’m not much of a sneaker person and typically workout indoors barefoot, so I bought these specifically for light hiking and walking my hilly neighborhood—when it’s drizzly my sneakers feel like they will slip. My other hiking boots are Hoka Ones and from the minute I put them on they were comfortable.
I wore these today to the gym and to run an errand. They remind me of a generic looking Merrell with a similar sole. Fit wise, I think they are a little wide and short. I got a 9, same as my Nordic boots and my Hokas and I usually wear an 8.5 in shoes. Maybe because of the extra width my toes slip forward, but not necessarily in an uncomfortable way. The sole feels like it will be nice for walking and hiking. They’re not too heavy. I wear shoes on the rowing machine because otherwise the straps hurt my feet and these didn’t work well. My feet were slipping out, so I’ll need to try and tighten the laces more. Considering the typical cost of decent hiking boots I hope these will be a good backup pair for less strenuous hikes and hilly walks in inclement weather if I can tighten them so they feel more secure.
Hope this helps someone with sizing. I don’t think my feet are super narrow but they don’t have much volume if that make sense.
Ah, thank you so much, was wondering about those shoes! Couldn't decide about sizing, maybe should go with my larger size. I don't love the red laces but was thinking I could change them out with some green hiking laces.
Delete@julielion96 they come with plain brown laces and the red is actually not as bright as it appears online. It’s a muted brick/terracotta color, not as bright as the red from the Nordic boots at all.
DeleteI ordered the Classic-fit gauze shirtdress in navy Item BG462 on sale for $49.50 It looks cute and I’m hoping it will work as a bathing suit coverup. Anybody have this dress?
