"Looking to LOVE" with J.Crew
12 comments:
Dear J.Crew Aficionadas & Aficionados: Please feel free (and encouraged) to share your thoughts and opinions. :) However, please note that this is still a personal blog. So comments that are considered inappropriate (e.g. obscene, racist, homophobic, personal attacks, rude, and just plain mean) will be removed.
And now back to J.Crew! :)
I’m not loving the email which I just received with the heading Your Vacation Packing List. There is a photo with 3 models. One female is average weight, another overweight and here is a “beach boy” type male with a physique that is athletic, gym toned, etc. If the company is so focused on diverse appearances, then put an overweight male in the photos. I’m annoyed with this presentation. Anyone else feel the same way?

DeleteI’m glad the comment above was removed by the author. This thread was veering inappropriate and cringey. No one comes here for value judgements about body weight, nor what you think looks “healthy,” nor for political commentary. There’s enough of that elsewhere. Stick to J. Crew.

DeleteThis was reference to the advert email. I found the ad off with regard to the male model. Nothing wrong with promoting being healthy either. Read the medical stats for the U.S. I’m leaving this site and leaving J.Crew as well. Nothing appealing anymore nor is the quality the way it used to be. Sad truth hurts doesn’t it.
DeleteI'm taking the same exit as Lynn. Breaking up with J.Crew and made in China.
DeleteYou all have been lovely and helpful (especially Lynn), and I will remove my other post above in case it is too "cringey."
Thanks for saying something, Ruffles.
DeleteThis is excellent article, thank you for the share! This is what I am looking for, hope in future you will continue sharing such an superb work.
