This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,
or stopped by a J.Crew store to try
on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you
might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks
in advance! :)
Question:
ReplyDeleteI bought the Tie-waist seaside pant in linen blend (Item AN013). They were back ordered for a while but finally arrived yesterday. I'm normally a 2/26 in jeans and bought an XS. They're a little baggy but fit ok. For those with these pants, do they stretch out after wearing them? Should I try a smaller size?
I don’t have experience with those specifically but did not have a great experience with the paperbag linen tencel pants which also have viscose in the blend.
DeleteI wore very briefly and washed in cold/line dried and the fabric became misshapen. This is another blend I’m avoiding now, or at least won’t wash.
I don't know how US JCA's do it. If Canada had this promo...I would have ordered 20 or more items.
ReplyDeleteI think many of us already have more clothes than we will ever be able to wear. At least that’s my situation.
Delete@Jeanne: As you know, that's my situation too. I really do have more clothes, shoes, bags, accessories etc. for more than my lifetime and probably plenty for a few others as well.
DeleteI'm still carrying on with my "shopping fast," and it feels good.
J.Crew has made it easy for me this season. I'm not so sure about this new designer. I was very tempted by what Chris Benz had been doing, and I did indulge frequently. The new arrivals are too "relaxed" for what appeals to me, which are more tailored clothes.
My original goal was to do the shopping fast until Memorial Day, but I'm pretty sure I will extend that until Labor Day. In truth, I could/should do this fast for a few years other than purchasing something like a nightgown or robe.
