I have a return so hoping to stop by tomorrow. Huge sale section this morning with 30% off - prices are still really high on summer items but there were quite a new markdowns. I did order the mockneck emboridered long sleeve top in white - the scarcity rule got me - low stock in a medium which was the only size left so I ordered. I need to be better about these morning impulse purchases :(
ReplyDeleteI really like that shirt and the dress that’s similar. I am hesitant because I have so many white tops and find they don’t last very long, even just sitting in the closet. The tunic is so pretty and comes in black, but it’s not a great silhouette for me. I’m not sure it could be belted.
DeleteI ordered the same top, in XS and S. I was thrilled to see it pop back on sale (a whopping 10%) during my recent stalking and had my fingers crossed for a code. I hope I like it. I have been looking for a pretty white cotton blouse and those I found were all several hundred dollars. Really hope the sleeves are long enough and the body is not cut too wide...
Deleteupdate - Mine already shipped! I was so nervous because the XS was out of stock, so I was going to try the S, but then the XS suddenly became available while I was checking out so I got both just in case. And THEY SHIPPED!
DeleteCheri - I'm glad yours shipped! Mine has not yet. I seem to be on an eternal white top quest - but probably won't wear much in to the winter and end up saving it for spring. If it fits like the dot mock net top fits then I'll need the medium for sleeve length.

ReplyDeleteThis is a Madewell order follow up. I ordered the slim boyfriend jeans with the seaming down the front last week. I ordered a size up because I didn’t want them to fit like skinny jeans...well, they showed up and fit tight and short. Totally different than the website pics. Thank goodness they’re allowing me to return them.
ReplyDeleteNote: sizing is so inconsistent it’s not worth the hassle of ordering final sale.
I’ll be stopping in store tomorrow to return the straight leg cords. Not flattering on me. A lovely pant just pants usually never work on my body type unless wide leg.
ReplyDeleteI also ordered the velvet skirt. The longer length and different pocket location has me trying this skirt for the 3rd time. I feel so silly for typing that. 3rd times the charm? I don’t have much hope but I love the styling on this year’s version. Doesn’t ship until the end of the month.
I stopped in yesterday, but none of the new arrivals really caught my eye. J. Crew factory sent me an extra 20% off coupon for my birthday, but not so much as an e-mail with puppies from J. Crew retail.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time in a long time I've been giving factory a second look - I like their leopard print this season and they have a few nice blazers - I like the pink accented glen blazer and their leopard midi skirt. I haven't ordered from there in quite a while.
DeleteWent yesterday for returns to sale was 40 off, reg items 30off. Lots of cashmere sweaters. Nothing really caught my eye... prices are still high on summer stuff and fall is here. Did get the seersucker pleated dress and like it a lot, had to size up. My 17yrs old daughter did great with jeans-3 pairs.... jcrew fits her well.... but in her age group no one wears jcrew.... and after trying many other brands that she wanted.... she went with theese as the fit is the best.... I need nothing but waiting for the next big sale. Lol
ReplyDeleteHad to leave the house before 6 and was up super early so I checked sale while sipping my coffee. My 4am stalking yielded a white pair of Supergas in my size. I bought the denim ones this spring and find them really comfortable so I hope the white are the same. My sneaker collection has greatly expanded as they work well for my lifestyle—kids sporting events (I cannot deal with walking through wet grass and dirt wearing sandals) and walking to town so now Im often looking for cute casual ones.

Had to laugh about early morning stalking :). I've had a few goodies turn up too. Ordered everyday cashmere cropped cardigan in navy. Reviews are good, and it was 60% off. I have the merino wool Jackie with gold buttons and love it. Wanted another option and happy to find this basic color in cashmere, so hoping that it works for me.

DeleteNo planned visit for me. I ordered a Donegal burgundy merino wool blend sweater (40% nylon) from Nordstrom. I love the long cardigans and it was on sale. I'm a fan of this color for fall, so hoping this one works out for me. It's still in the 90s where I live, so hard to think about fall/winter, but I'm finding a few things that will work when temps cool off. For now, I'm still wearing shorts and linen.

DeleteFWIW vintage straight jeans don’t fit me like straight leg jeans at all. They’re more like skinny jeans that are a little loose from the knee down.
My experience with JCREW denim otherwise is a mixed bag. I find the fit inconsistent, so for the time being I’m staying away. I prob have a dozen pairs and My love for them shifts like the wind.

DeleteI have them. Bought them in my usual size 26. They fit baggie but that's how I wanted them to be. Definitely baggier than any of my other jeans.
