This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Has anyone bought tall jeans just for the extra length even tho you're not "tall"?
ReplyDeleteI bit on the extra 60% off sale and got a pair of jeans but I bought it in tall for a little extra length (instead of having them slightly cropped).
I've ordered talls here and there (however, I am relatively tall at 5'8"). Often you get extra room in the rise as well as the length but I'm sure it varies from style to style. Worth a shot with these prices!
DeleteI also picked up a few tops - the point sur popover in pin dot chiffon and the tall ditsy floral smocked top. the 15% retailmenot code is still stacking so it was $32 for both tops. Of course this is after I did more closet cleaning yesterday and contemplated no shop April...
I’m 5’6” and I have. I find the 25 inch cropped length too short. 26.5 to 28” is better. Even with skinny jeans I often do not like the ankle length and would consider the tall.
DeleteI'm the same height as Suz and have ordered tall jeans as I too do not care for the cropped length on me. There is definitely extra fabric in the rise, though.
DeleteAs I drifted off to sleep last night I promised myself that this month I shall succeed with no shop April... then woke up today and saw the promo. Picked up the quilted Liberty field jacket. Argh. I have no will power!
ReplyDeleteThe CARDLOVE code doesnt stack with APRIL. I have two shirts in my cart that I don’t need but would take for the extra 25 percent off. Has CS applied it after the fact? They’re final sale so I don’t want to buy and then not get the extra off with my card
ReplyDeleteCS applied the extra 25% for me after the fact with the previous promo. I would definitely email them.

DeleteI tried to get CARDLOVE stacked via chat and was rejected - maybe you guys will have better luck with email!
Deletekel, try Twitter - @jcrew_help
DeleteI don't know why they are promoting "we love our cardholders" when you can't combine the promos!
shopalot - thanks for the tip, but twitter said they couldn't be combined too!
DeleteUgh - I'm sorry. They really need to be more consistent. They are combining the promos for other people!
DeleteI think the problem is the retailmenot code. Last week I couldn't get the extra code adjustments on orders if I had applied the retailmenot code online - and that was with a customer service rep who usually is great about stacking codes.
DeleteI tried without the Retailmenot code and it still says it can’t be stacked
DeleteI visited the store but didn't buy anything since store had 30% off select merchandise and online it was 50% off select 3 items. I tried on a bunch of new arrivals at the store and place online order for the items I liked - silk tiger print shirt, chambray dress, denim skirt. I also took chances with liberty print dress in Kayoko colorway. I also tried on Sophie open front blazer and was surprised by how nice it is on.

ReplyDeleteIt is 60% off sale online
ReplyDeleteI picked up the signature tartan button down (finally) for $20.40 and a pair of tretorns for the boy for $13.94. I don't have a JCC but am considering getting one if they offer an additional 25% off. The only item on my wishlist is the jungle cat silk blouse so seems silly to open a card for just that...
ReplyDeleteHi all, it’s been a while.... I been on a shopping ban ( self imposed).... only periferaly checking here...lol....
ReplyDeletedid bite the bullet yesterday and placed a large order with 50 off plus 15 from all for my 16 yrs daughter jeans shorts and t shirts, as we are going on vacation... I tried to apply for the credit card.... wanted an extra 25 off considering I spent $200... did online applications and got an email that I had to wait 2 weeks for an answer. I have 760 credit.... not sure why, so I called today and got the same answer.... ohh well.... I fought so hard not to get the card and finally when I decided ( after like 8 yrs).... it’s not meant to be.... ohh well who need another credit card...
Stopped in to make a return and purchased new Jane of All Trades tee. Store was busy and SAs were matching online promos if you asked. If you weren’t aware that online promos were different, you were out of luck. Store was 30% off select items and no additional percent off sale. Happy to see extra % off sale. No purchases for me. Still waiting on packages from last week’s promo stacking. Ordered more SZ Blockprints for spring/summer and August vacation.
ReplyDeleteThis was the response I received from my DM.
ReplyDelete“Hi there - that’s correct, the APRIL and CARDLOVE promotions aren’t able to be combined. Apologies for any disappointment.”
So maybe someone should explain to them that if cardholders are offered 25 percent off but customers are getting 60 percent off sale, what’s the benefit.
It’s a small order but I won’t be placing it on principal alone!
I REALLY want those THELMA loafers. In much love with the beautiful colors! But not even the cardholder's discount applies. I was at least able to use the cardholder's % on my Birks, of which I rarely catch in my size. Come on JC, just a little love. Extra sad face!
