I do love the free shipping. I place few J Crew orders these days due to poor quality and styles that don’t work for me, but the free shipping makes it easier to pull the trigger on a good popback or “one season”-type item. I hope it will help sales overall as the company moves toward faster-churn, fast fashion items that customers can purchase anywhere and won’t pay shipping fees for!
ReplyDeleteYeah. I just pulled the trigger on a couple of pop backs myself. I don't know if they'll actually ship (which is another matter) but if I had to wait to reach a certain total amount, I wouldn't have bought either one.
Deletehad my pop back of the gingham mules in a 9 cancelled. at least they let me know this time. shipping was $12 Canadian. last time this happened 2 items didn't ship and they refunded me $6 off the shipping. this time they refunded me $5 off?
Deleteits always the one item I really wanted in the order that gets cancelled.....my luck.
Canada doesn't get free shipping. I would appreciate it over a certain amt. maybe they will include us at some point..
DeleteI got the parrot sweater, which I had liked since seeing it at full price, although it is not my style at all. I think it's fun and was on sale for $24.99 with an additional 30% off at my store. I'm very pleased with that price for 100% merino wool.
ReplyDeleteI ordered it but am returning. I'm not a fan of the blousy sweater style, where the arm and body hems are elastic-y and bunch together. I thought it was more of a straight Tippi style. But seriously good price!
DeleteFinally the item I want is in the 30 off and they allow student/teacher discount! I am glad now I didn't get it last time it was 30 off because extra discount was not allowed. it is the long navy cardigan J6308. I will get some much use out of it but I hope it is not the type that pills. I am going to pick it up late this afternoon
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for a discount to get button up in roaming tiger. BIG MISTAKE! I checked this morning and sizes are gone, all but size zero. Good for jcrew and a lesson for me. It's going to be hard to un-learn to wait for a discount of some kind. I was sure there would be 20% off at some point.
ReplyDeleteThey're all available online now...but I agree it is popular. We had 5 left in store and sold 2 just on Tuesday night while I was there...
DeleteThey are not available for Canadian customers. We do not see what's available at US stores. Only strictly what's in stock at the warehouse.
DeleteOh my goodness, I had no idea, I'm sorry to hear that. Can you call and do a store send?
DeleteA bit off topic but I saw a photo of Tina Fey wearing the tiger top in question.
DeleteI might be able. Never tried that before.
Delete@Natalya, I haven’t done a store send in Canada for a while but I used to do them fairly often. They would charge $9.95 shipping for UPS last year.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone’s interested, I returned a painted regatta skirt in small to the 347 Madison store tonight. It was $78.xx and the store had additional 30% off as of today.
