ReplyDeleteAfter reading the 2011 JCA post about JC blazers, I just ordered a Robert Noble wool hacking jacket from eBay. :) That will probably be the extent of my JC shopping for the weekend. For a change, there is nothing on the website I am stalking obsessively, waiting for popback or sale.
ReplyDeleteI still have my Robert noble blazer even though it's a little big for me now I just can't part with it as it's beautiful and great quality! Back then I didn't realize quality would decline. I hope you love it!
DeleteNo store near me, but I'm toying with ordering the Campbell blazer in Donegal wool. I'm also tempted by Boden's Elizabeth tweed blazer. Any thoughts on either option would be appreciated. Thanks and happy weekend, everyone!
ReplyDelete@cobalt, no helpful thoughts to contribute, except to say that that Campbell blazer seems to get great reviews from various bloggers. It looks like a lovely piece! I was also considering that same Boden blazer, but unsure about fit -- I've only ordered a few pieces from them (more returns than kept items) so that's the main hesitation. Would love your feedback if you do decide to order with them!
DeleteCobalt... I just returned the Elizabeth blazer. The tweed was exquisite, but sadly the cut didn't work for me. I'm short and petite and it was too long and aged me...made me look dowdy. Gorgeous piece though.
DeleteI have two j.crew donegal wool ecole blazers....one of which I got from here on the Looking to sell thread...and they are perfect. Fabric, fit, everything. Hope j.crew returns to making fitted short jackets, like the eco le and Aubrey. So feminine! The Rhodes, regent, and Campbells are just too long for my small frame

DeleteSo I knew I wanted a signet bag but could not decide. The clearance store decided for me. They had one in chestnut brown so for $35.00 I am good to go. Very nice quality leather and also picked up a blue key fob for it. I have ordered a personalized bag tag and plan to get the leopard coin purse. That is my purseonality!

Why is the dreaded final sale back? There were a few things I was eyeing up waiting for a better % off sale promo. Was prepared to place an order w/ the 30% off. Then saw the dreaded final sale in my cart. I guess they really don't want my money.

I have had several items in my cart for over a month now and I'm just not so in love that I have to have any of them. I just checked and I haven't ordered clothes from Jcrew since July 25! That has to be a record for me. I just don't love anything in this fall roll out :( -lep33shops

Thanks for the heads-up about the new promo. I saw that the merino sweater blazer is finally on promo and since I haven't even received mine in the mail yet, I called for a price adjustment. They gave it to me with no attitude. Whew!
