  1. The new items are up, I think my wallet is safe. A couple of cute things but without a promo there is no way I am paying full price and shipping for them.

    1. My thoughts exactly. I'm intrigued by some of the new pants cuts but until reviews start rolling in (the closest store is 2 hours from me) my credit card remains asleep.

  2. Wanted to purchase the New Balance sneakers from the new roll out and they're already sold out. This is ridiculous.

  3. I was interested in the fireworks pattern shorts. Happy to see they are 5 inches in length but sad to see they are poly. Why didn't they make them in cotton? Pass.

  4. Not new news, but I continue to be sad about all the poly. Every retailer seems to be doing it, I know, but as Gigi mentioned in another thread, $98 for a 100% poly top is not working for me. This is my barrier w factory, too, because I find that even if I really love the style, the time-to-landfill for the poly items I've purchased at J Crew is very short.

    1. ITA. If I didn't mind poly, I'd go to Loft where you can get almost identical tops with an opening price of $69.50 and a 40% or 50% promo. I find poly so uncomfortable to wear, and if I sweat a little bit it's impossible to launder. Ick.

    2. I agree, I really dislike poly for the same reasons. It will be interesting to see what Factory does since they usually copy retail styles with ones in poly!! Is there a fabric lower on the chain that they can use?

    3. I may be in the minority on this, but I generally prefer poly so I can machine wash it - I hate dry cleaning or worrying about staining silk. However, just like silver_lining said, the price point should be way lower. I often shop at Loft for that exact reason!

  5. I'm pretty underwhelmed with anything they have going on right now.
The Fireworks pattern they have all over everything is pretty, but it also has a very distinct Talbots vibe to it, IMO.
J.Crew is becoming shoes and jewelry to me, that's all I buy anymore really. Even that is pushing it since I won't buy the shoes banned in California.

  8. Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Polyvore Clipper on J.Crew's website? It's the only site where I can't clip photos; my cyber wardrobe is suffering :-)

    1. I clipped a few things from JCrew without any problem. But I can't on some other websites. Weird.
