This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
40% off sale items & 25% off FP jewelry in the Vancouver stores.
ReplyDeleteI did go this weekend to return a few things. I got the stone burst bracelet, which is is $69.99 online vs reg price in-store. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOnline, the embroidered peasant top in suckered stripe nets $29.99 w/BIG40, review here. I have pics of sz 6 and sz 4. And one of my favorites, the stripe-sleeve tee also gets 50% off w/BIG40 for a net $29.99, review here.
Looks really cute on you! You're making me re-think it. I had it and returned it when it was about $10 higher. My only concern was that it's on the short side. You can't wear it w/leggings. Only jeans.
DeleteI was referring to the embroidered peasant top.
DeleteJruby18 - Thanks! I ended up getting the sz 4. At that price, I went for both white and blue. It *is* on the shorter side, but I kinda like that because I usually wear longer tops.
DeleteIt looks like the March Style Guide is going up on Pinterest in pieces - Crewcuts and some men's is up there now.
ReplyDeleteyay!
DeleteI was in downtown Washington DC for a conference so swung by the F Street store yesterday afternoon. First time in that store. Very nice! I hunted down the Cubist print silk front sweater. LOVE this. Even nicer IRL. Also, grabbed the navy striped sleeve merino. Also love this. Seems to run a bit big. Lastly, grabbed the Large Sunflower Necklace in the Royal Shadow color. Also a winner!!! Saw some of the camo print sweatshirts. Cute, but I think I am camo-ed out. The new oxford jeweled peter pan collar shirt is lovely. The jewels on the collar are gorgeous. The online photos don't do it justice. Nic, but small Sale section. I bought navy jewel collared tuxedo front tank for a friend. 40% off so it was down to $20 bucks or so.
ReplyDeleteReview here of the linen tee in lovebirds. And quick photos of 5 of the newly released styles. Two tops, 2 sweaters and a dress.
ReplyDeleteextra 40% off sale at Fifth Ave. NYC flagship. Boatloads of moto pants size 24-32 in green and white. I'm normally a 25 in matchstick/00P in minnies, but I couldn't figure out the fit of the motos. 24 was fine in the waist but I had massive sausage thighs; 25 was loose in the waist/crotchal areas but perfect in the legs. The white was nice but could see pocket outline.
ReplyDeleteI went to see the new arrivals and got nothing. Was hoping for some resort wear for an upcoming trip, but the dress selection was lacking. Tried the camo sweatshirt and it made me look like a bodybuilder. SO unflattering and disappointing. It was pretty underwhelming. Hopefully there are other things in the catalogue of interest.
ReplyDeleteOT, but has anyone here ever Scotchguarded a stadium-cloth coat? Specifically, a Majesty Peacoat? I really want to protect the ones I just bought so they don't suffer the same fate as the Nello Gori coat I gor a big dirt/grease smudge on 2 years ago. Never came out and the coat was a total loss. That really stunk.
ReplyDeleteI'm just not sure if maybe the fibers are too porous, or if it might change the color of it at all? I don't want to risk ruining the coats, but the one in Dark Bone especially worries me. Not even just 'passing' dirt, but things like a mark from wearing my purse on my shoulder. Arrgghh. TIA!
Elaine - I've used Kiwi Camp Dry for my wool coats. It says it's for all coats, so I went with it. I've recently used Vectra spray recommended by Purse Forum or one of those sites. It's also good on leather, and maybe suede. The stock pic shows 3 bottles, but you only get one.
DeleteFor the stain on your old coat did you try Lestoil. I don't know what I would do without it. It gets out any grease or oil or tough stain. Can be hard to find but worth it no matter the price.
DeleteI know this will sound weird but growing up in Australia we swore by eucalyptus oil on any grease stains, takes them right out and doesn't harm delicate fibers. In fact, back there, many delicate clothes detergents are based on this oil.
DeleteI may run in tomorrow to look around. I haven't bought much lately, but want to try on the striped sweatpant.
ReplyDeleteOT but is anyone going to the Bloor Street Collection store's "party" on Thursday night? Would be fun to meet some other JCAs!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go...but do you need an invitation??
DeleteI have no clue. I was sent one...shoot me your email and I'll forward you what I got? I doubt they're keeping track.
DeleteDoes anyone know when the March style guide stuff will be sold online? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi cate - new arrivals will go up on Wednesday, 2/26.
DeleteThank you!
