J.Crew factory is continuing their first year celebration by offering "50% off everything" both online and in stores. This offer ends tomorrow, October 14, 2013. The fine print includes:

Valid on purchases made in J.Crew Factory stores and at jcrewfactory.com from October 10, 2013, 12:01am ET through October 14, 2013, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid on men's shoes, leather apparel, Toysmith™ merchandise and Natural Products Ltd.™ merchandise. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.I love that this offer (1) requires no code, so if you have an additional percent off it can be applied on top, and (2) applies to new arrivals too! Moreover, as many of you noticed and commented, these prices are much better than the ones offered to the "Factory First" customers in their sneak peek of new arrivals last week.
Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Any items you are interested in? If so, please share!
Has anyone tried the Factory suiting? Thoughts on quality/material?
ReplyDeleteAnyone have a coupon code they'd be willing to share? My email is ptlifestyle3@gmail.com. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteA bit OT, but I am wondering if anyone can comment on an experience I've had with the Factory Herringbone Vest. I received it a week ago on a charge-send, and it has kind of a funky smell. A bit musty - like a damp sleeping bag. I've hung it outside in the sun twice, and the smell is still there. Because I live in Canada, it's kind of a hassle for me to try to return it (and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get another). Has anyone had this smell issue? If so, were you able to get the odor out, and how did you do so? (kind of hoping to sort this out before I take of the tags!) Thanks in advance for any advice!!
ReplyDeleteYour vest might be a return, and that smell could be from the previous owner. I have not experienced any smell in my vest. If you don't want to return it, you could try taking it to a dry cleaner and ask what they can do about it? HTH
DeleteI have not noticed an odor either, R. I would call customer service about it.
DeleteIf you google down feather smell it will give you info as to how to properly clean the vest. From what I understand humidity can cause odor due to the nature of the down feathers, but it can be cured.
DeleteI would try a dry cleaner too, if you do not want to return it! My vest from both Factory and retail, do not have any odor. Either way I would call customer service and file a complaint.
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all your helpful advice and input. It sounds like I got a real turkey of a vest (apropos for today's Canadian Thanksgiving!). I will definitely contact CS to see how they can assist, and if necessary, take your advice to de-stink the vest!
On the Thanksgiving note, I just want to say thank you to all the participants on this site. It's so wonderful to be able to interact with an on-line community that is so sweet, friendly, helpful and positive. Happy Thanksgiving!
